This is Carmelo, a 4-year old male English Setter who was living on the streets and a kind girl took him in in spite of not really having anywhere to put him.
He’s a good-natured thing, lovely with people and with children. He’s currently in a foster home in Spain but we would love to find him a home really soon.
He’s in Galicia, the wettest part of Spain, and living outside since the resident dog doesn’t think much of him and the silly thing won’t use his shelter so is getting drenched and we’re worried he will get ill if he stays there. He’s also not getting much company there since he’s outside all the time and there’s no other dogs out with him either.
We think he’d be great with a female companion and he needs a cat free home.
*Update April 2019*
Carmelo is currently in a UK foster home. He is living with two resident dogs and getting on very well with them (see video), although one of the males in his foster home is funny with him and he doesn’t stand for it so he’d do best with females/non-confrontational males. He’s also living with a 1 year old child who he’s great with! He’s a good-natured thing, lovely with people and with children and other dogs, but unfortunately he’s not good with cats. He is nervous at first and does seem to be scared of men so will need time and patience to overcome this fear but he’s a lovely happy chap and this has improved already in a short space of time.
