Cash – 8 month old male Saluki cross Lurcher
Cash is house-trained, travels well in the car, is great with children and gets on well with other dogs. He also walks very nicely on the lead and doesn‘t pull. He has been in foster for a couple of days with children aged 10 & 11, a young whippet/terrier cross and an elderly Dachshund (that he treated very respectfully). The family loved him, but unfortunately the resident dog didn’t. Cash’s only fault is that he hasn’t been taught to play properly whilst young and can get a bit boisterous when off lead around younger, racy dogs; which isn’t always appreciated. It’s not malicious at all. He is just young & inexperienced and needs a bigger, older dog or perhaps a bitch to teach him correct canine manners!! Typical lurcher, he loves to tear around the garden and sometimes forgets braking distances!!!
Cash has already spent a number of weeks in kennels before coming to Epsom Canine Rescue, but it doesn’t suit him well and he is losing weight. It would be lovely for him to find his forever home sooner rather than later. But failing that if anybody could ooffoffer a temporary foster home for this young lad until he lands on his feet, it would be fantastic. Food is provided if needed. As with all lurchers he will require a secure garden. He would make an ideal companion for someone as he just wants to be with you and can melt most people with those big sad eyes!!!! No small furries 
A home with previous Saluki experience would be useful but not essential and an older sensible canine friend would be good to keep him in check
