Alley – 12 year old female Cross-Breed

Alley was found tied up in an Alley hence her name, she is a 12 year old female Cross-Breed. She was rescued when she was a year old and joined a family with a toddler and young child. She is owned by an army officer and used to go to work with him in his office everyday. She is now left for short periods and is very accommodating.

Alley is an old-fashioned cross breed, possibly a Collie cross Staffie. She has always been around children, but now she is older she tries to keep herself away from too much pulling. However, she love to play fetch. She is in very good health and has been all her life.

Alley is a loving older lady who can’t move with her Army family and so is hoping to find a family which will be her retirement home. She is still full of life and has a dear personality. She is an “off lead” dog and meets dogs well outside enjoying her walks. She has been used to kennelling whilst her owners go on holiday and is adored by the kennel staff. She loves her food. Is neutered, vaccinated and has a lovely soft coat.

Alley would make a good first time dog owners dog. She is ‘no bother!’ and is such a pleasure to have around. She is an older lady, but has plenty of life in her still! Someone is looking for a loving companion and will appreciate her charms and friendship. She hasn’t lived with a cat, but was afraid to go too near a neighbour’s cat. She would fit into a family who would love to enjoy a walk in all weathers, but relax on return. Alley is a treasure.

Sally – 10 year old female Jack Russell Terrier

Sally is an approx 10 year old Minature Jack Russell Terrier who came over from Ireland after being picked up as a stray and never claimed.

Sally has got a lovely temperament and has lived with children for 7 weeks in her foster home, is great with other dogs, ignores cats and shows no reaction to small caged animals. Sally does have a small fatty lump on her stomach, but this has been checked by the vet and he has confirmed that it is unattached to anything so can be left alone.

At some stage in her life Sally has had a full mammary strip meaning that she is probably spayed. It also means that she has no nipples! She is fully vaccinated and microchipped too. A homecheck will be carried out and a minimum adoption fee applies.

Gypsy is a beautiful 1 year old Labrador cross female, medium collie size, who came to us from a pound. Gypsy loves other dogs but cannot live with cats. She is such a loving girl and likes nothing better than to roll on her back for a tummy rub.

Gypsy would love to live with an active person or family as she loves her walks and has a great zest for life. She is housetrained, good in the car and is non-destructive. Stewie – 2-3 year old male Jack Russell Terrier

Please meet adorable Stewie who is an adorable 2-3 year old Jack Russell Terrier who was found living as a stray with another terrier in the welsh mountains. Stewie is living at home with me in foster at the moment, and although very wary and nervous at first, he now wags his tail so much, his whole body wiggles, when he sees me. If im quiet and calm, he will come to me for affection, and is becoming more and more comfortable with being stroked.

Initially he is a very scared and nervous boy, but he has come on so much already, and will continue to do so in a home who is sympathtic to his needs. Stewie would love a nice quiet home, with someone who has time and patience. He is such a rewarding dog to have around, everyday he comes on in leaps and bounds, and after just 2 weeks here he is already initiating play with me, and leaps up to give kisses.

Stewie has been castrated, microchipped, wormed, deflead and started his vaccinations. Stewie is good with other dogs, not cat tested. Best suited to a home without young children, only due to his nerves.

Stewie would be an ideal dog for an older person / couple. He is a fun, loving dog… who just needs time to allow him to build up his trust. Once he does, he will reward you by being a loving and loyal dog for the rest of his years.

Mole – 1 year old male Lurcher Cross

Mole is a black 1 year old male Lurcher Cross. Mole came to us as a stray via another charity so unfortunately we have no previous history about him. Mole would prefer to be the only dog in the household. He would prefer not to live with cats as he is quite fixated on them. He would also prefer not to live with small animals, particularly birds, as he loves to chase them. Mole is incredibly affectionate & loves having a fuss. He would benefit from attending training classes to help him brush up on his commands. Mole should be ok to live with children aged 12 or older who are calm, sensible and used to dogs.
