Rosco, Freckles, Pebbles, Misty and Bounty – 3 1/2 month old male and female COllies

Please meet Rosco, Freckles, Pebbles, Misty and Bounty. They are lovely 3 1/2 month old Collies with a mixture of colours tri/black and white/merle. Three boys and two girls. They are very affectionate and full of life just like any other puppy. They love to run about and play with their toys and other dogs.

These pups are very clever and want to learn and please you all the time. They travel well in the car. House training is on going but they are all doing well. We are looking for homes where someone will be about for most of the day as they are still very young.

We strongly recommend puppy socialisation and training classes to get the most out of your dog and as they are Collies will need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation throughout their life. Please read up on this breed for their size, temperament and ability as they are from working stock and not a “sit at home and do nothing dog”. They will need a lot of off lead regular exercise.

These puppy’s are vaccinated and wormed. They will need to be neutered and micro-chipped as part of the adoption agreement when they are old enough and proof of this will need to be provided.

Meggie – 11 month old female Collie cross Terrier

Meggie is a very small Collie cross Terrier girl of about 11 months old. Meggie is a lovely young girl who is a little bit timid but very loving and affectionate and once she has learnt to trust you she is by your side. I walked her out for the first time this morning and let her off the lead. Meggie was no problem at all and didn’t run off and walked with various other dog friends of different size/breeds who she was OK with just a little bit timid again. No aggression at all. She may just tell the other foster puppy off that is in her face a bit too much and wants her to play all the time. However, Meggie doesn’t mix and play with the other dogs. She is happy to have their company but doesn’t engage in any play. She would rather be with you.

Meggie sleeps well at night and cat be left on her own. She is crate trained and dry at night although has the odd accident in doors. Although we don’t have any history on her she has shown signs that she has had to find food herself as she eats very quickly and as if it will be her only meal for a month. She is on the thin side and does need feeding up. She also does not want to share it but yet again I think that this is because she has been starving and it won’t be an issue when she realises there will be another meal on the way a few hours later. Her manners are very good too. Her tail seems to have had grease in it as it looks dirty and although I have washed her and she is clean it is still stained. However, I’m sure this will eventually disappear. So may be she was stuck outside in a yard or just picked up whilst scavenging.

All in all she is a lovely little dog and I love her to pieces. She needs a bit of “Tender Loving Care” initially, which she deserves, but she has no bad vices and she is very affectionate and wants to please you. She is small (below the knee – not at all collie size) and her fur is a bit wiry, not smooth and silky and she gives me the impression she has a bit of terrier in her face.

She has learnt to sit for me for a bit of food very quickly, so I know in her little mind there is a very intelligent, quick learning little girl who will shine for the right person.

We are looking for a home who is understanding and sympathetic to her needs and is around for some of the time during the day, although she can be left for a couple of hours no problem. She will benefit from basic command training once she feels happy and secure in her new home, but initially a little bit of time spent on building up a friendship with her and to make her feel wanted and secure is a must. This little girl has been through hard times in her short life, so only deserves the very best.

Meggie is vaccinated and wormed and will be spayed and micro-chipped before adoption.

Meggie is being fostered in Waltham Abbey, Essex, near J26 of M25.
