Marley – 1 year old male Cross-Breed
Marley is a 1 year old male Cross-Breed with some hound and mastiff in him. Marley came to the centre as a stray so unfortunately we have no previous history if he has lived in a home or not. Marley would be best suited as an only dog although we would consider homing him with another dog, providing the home has sufficient experience with adolescent dogs.
He is suitable to live with “hands on” confident children aged 14 years and over who are used to handling dogs and are willing to participate in his training. Marley is super affectionate & loves a good back scratch. He will need to attend training classes on a regular basis as he needs to learn how to control his excitement with both dogs & people. He knows most basic commands but sometimes chooses to forget them just to test his handler!!

Heidie is a stunning 1 year old Ibizan Hound (Podenco) from Spain, Heidie was found on the streets as a pup starving and she was in danger of being poisoned by the locals. We managed to rescue her and get her into foster home, until she was ready to travel to the UK and find her forever home.
Podencos are very common dogs out in Spain, commonly used for hunting, and treated terribly. However they make wonderful pets, and are loving and sweet natured full of personality. They love their home comforts and of-course also enjoy there walks.
She really wants to be loved, but she needs an understanding owner who will give her the time and confidence to become herself. She has a cheeky streak waiting to come out!
Heidie is full of character and just needs patience to help her discover her full potential, she is good with other dogs and loves playing and running outside, she can live with cats and dog savvy children.
Heidie is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and has a pet passport. This lovely girl is really beautiful and has a lot to give to the right family. She is currently being fostered in North London, please contact us for more info.

Lulu is a 2 year old Whippet cross Lurcher. Lulu is a sweet, affectionate little girl and is typically whippet in that she loves to snuggle near to people and loves companionship. She has settled well in foster when left with another dog for company and would probably also live happily as an only dog so long as she had human company most of the time.
Lulu hasn’t had the best life so far. She is exceedingly timid of new people and situations initially but does slowly become used to new people and scenarios as she learns to trust. She is fully housetrained, eats well and settles down well too. A quieter home would be more suitable for Llulu as she develops her confidence further. She is also an excellent traveller, she settles down and sleeps in the car.
She adores her walks and exercise and is good with other dogs if a little aloof with them when out walking. She has excellent recall and after an initial mad run around , she spends most of her walk at your side.
Lou lou is not cat friendly. Lulu is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated and can be homed both locally and nationally dependent on a successful homecheck. She is living in the North-West.
Legs – 2 year old male Saluki Cross
Legs is a 2 year old male Saluki Cross who is based in Hornchurch, Essex. We think Legs may have been abused as shows nervous aggressiveness of certain people and items such as sticks etc when on walks. He is happier off the lead but will have to be muzzled. He is also nervous at night barking at noises however sleeps soundly in his crate. A complete contrast when secure in the house.
A lovely sensitive gentle soul with a huge character. He has a habit of dragging towels from the bathroom into his bed and also dragging shopping bags around. He is not destructive he just likes moving things! Legs is very guarding of the house however, once people are inside he is straight onto his back next to them for a tickle. We would recommend children over 12 and household that isn’t too busy or where people will be responsible with regards to his guarding of the door. Also a large garden would be preferable for his circle runs! Legs does not like too much exercise – he will run in a large circle about 4 times extremely fast and then lays down!

This is Roxeanne. She’s an American Bull Dog cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She’s about two or three years old. She’s quite a strong girl but is friendly and is fine with other dogs.
Poppy – 2 year old female Akita
This is Poppy, a lively 2 year old Akita girl looking for a new home due to a change in her owner’s circumstances. A sweet natured girl, Poppy is vocal, bouncy and loves to meet new people. With a fair knowledge of commands, after a bit of typical Akita stubbornness, Poppy will sit nicely, she is also very gentle with treats. Having had little training on the lead, Poppy can pull, her current owner uses a harness which appears to be fairly ineffective, however our assessor is confident that with some training and the use of a proper head collar, Poppy will learn quickly!
Currently living with Leo (FOA Ref: 304) pending successful introductions Poppy could possibly live with another dog, we do feel that Leo and Poppy can be a bad influence on each other and as such that they would be better placed in separate homes! Leo and Poppy have both lived with children aged nine and above, and react equally well to both children and adults. Loveable, happy and full of fun – could Poppy be the girl for you? Poppy is based in West Yorkshire.

Meet Kaiser, a sweet 2 year old Akita dog looking for a new home following the sad death of his owner. Kaiser is currently being looked after by his owner’s daughter, a situation that is not ideal for any involved. Very friendly towards people, Kaiser nearly knocked our assessor over he was leaning in so much for a cuddle and a scratch! Responsive to commands and eager to please, Kaiser is keen to show off his training and is very motivated by treats. Whilst Kaiser is strong on the lead, our assessor feels confident that this could be easily rectified with the use of a head collar and some training.
Kaiser is currently living with children of varying ages, he is less keen on smaller kids, and as such will not be placed in a home with children under the age of ten. Lacking in socialisation with other dogs, Kaiser would be suited to a home where he is the only pet. Could this friendly boy be the Akita for you? Please get in touch! Buster is a 2-3 year old American Bulldog. Buster is such a big baby, he is so friendly with dogs, cats and children too. He is clean and quiet around the house. He is very overweight at the moment and for his own good is on a strict diet and exercise regime. He is fully vaccinated and neutered.
Della – 2 year old female Border Collie
Della is a 2 year old Border Collie looking for a home. She is a wonderful, affectionate girl with good recall, housetrained and good with other dogs.
