Barney is 2-3 years old and possibly a Labrador cross Akita. He is a very sociable lad with a lovely face. He is full of beans! He is quite a strong and needs a bit of direction, but will make a good family pet.

Please meet Carmen, an Akita Cross, female, approximately 3-4 years old. She is a black and tan mix with white on her chest and she is medium to large in size. Carmen is a gorgeous girl who is friendly and she will shake a paw for a treat! She is a well mannered girl but can be a little strong on the lead so may need some work on her walking to heel -although this may just be excitement to get out of her kennel and have fun.

Carmen also likes to play chase in the paddock and she is a good traveller. Carmen does need to be the only dog in her new family. She will will be spayed, vaccinated and microchipped prior to being rehomed.

Introducing Yogi, a bouncy Akita cross Malamute looking for a new home following a change in his owner’s circumstances. He is very friendly towards everyone that he meets, and wants to play a lot, despite his age. He loves to be fussed and have his belly tickled too. He knows a few commands and seems keen to learn.

Yogi has already been neutered. He can be left alone in the house for a few hours without being destructive, and is house trained. He does pull a bit on the lead but walks better with a head collar. He hasn’t shown any signs of toy or food guarding (except with a bone), and takes treats very gently. He can be friendly towards other dogs so he could live with a female dog pending successful introductions. He cannot live with cats. He has been living with young children for several years so could do so again.

Roxy – 1 year old female German Shepherd cross Japanese Akita

This stunning girl is Roxy, a 1 year old German Shepherd cross Japanese Akita girl who has been with her current family for 4 months after her original owner became pregnant and no longer wanted her. Roxy has a very nervous disposition and is wary around new people. She will grumble and shy away but did come over for a little fuss after a while, with the help of some treats!

Any fast movements make her feel uneasy and she will jump/cower at the slightest loud noise. She is quite protective of her home (a common German Shepherd trait) and will bark at strangers outside but once they are inside the house she is fine. Her current family feel that as she is gaining in confidence she is becoming more unpredictable and they are worried about her snapping at their young grandchildren.

Roxy has never bitten but they are worried that this could happen with her being so nervous and uneasy. Roxy is fantastic with other dogs and is housetrained. She is looking for an experienced home with children aged 16+. She cannot live with cats. Roxy will need a lot of patience, training and socialisation in order to help with her confidence building and to eliminate any aggression.

Roxy is currently staying at her home (where she has been assessed) while awaiting a kennel space. However arrangements can be made to meet her in her home environment and any questions answered by her owner.

Roxy will need to be spayed, vaccinated and microchipped before adoption.

Greta is a 20 week old Female Akita cross Rottweiler who has come to us with her two sisters. They are all very friendly, cheerful little girls who have settled straight away with the resident male and female dogs, cats and children.

None have ever been on a leash before and the team are working to get them out and about and socialised over the coming weeks. The girls will be microchipped and vaccinated before they leave us, and have already been worm and flea treated.

The girls are going to be huge, and despite their current cute appearance will require steady guidance and training as they grow to ensure they become large breed ambassadors. You will need to have sourced a reputable local trainer before
applying to adopt.

Located in Kent, can live with cats, kids and other dogs.

Beauty is a gentle girl with a big personality, she loves to play ball and chase and enjoys a good roll around on her back on the grass. Beauty adores to be fussed, she is gentle mouthed when taking food and she knows her basic commands.

Introducing Bella, a friendly 2 year old Akita cross looking for a new home due to her owner’s pregnancy. She is very playful and confident but she is not used to being left alone for long periods. She does not walk well on the lead at the moment, but we believe with some firm training this could be corrected. Bella has displayed some signs of food aggression in the home, she also mouths so with this in mind her new owner would need to be willing to start from the beginning and provide ongoing training. Bella is friendly towards male dogs and cats, but has not lived with children before. Because of this and her over enthusiastic bounciness, she will not be rehomed with young children. This big cuddly bundle of fun is Dylan a 14 month old German Shepherd Dog cross Akita. Dylan is super friendly and loves to have his tummy rubbed. Dylan is looking for a new home because there are 3 young children in the home and Dylan isn’t getting the attention he needs. Dylan is microchipped and vaccinated, and the owners say that they are going to get him neutered a,s,a,p. Dylan would love a family that is energetic and would take him to training school.

Dylan pulls on his lead, and when he see’s other dogs in the park he pulls to get to them, he just wants to play. We would not place Dylan with very young children because he is so very boisterous he could easily knock them over. Can you help this fun loving boy.
