Beauty – 18 month old female Akita Cross
Meet Beauty, a stunning Akita cross aged 18 months. She has come to us as an unclaimed stray which we find hard to believe, because as her name suggests she is beautiful both inside and out. Beauty is a gentle girl with a big personality, she loves to play ball and chase and enjoys a good roll around on her back on the grass. Beauty adores to be fussed, she is gentle mouthed when taking food and she knows her basic commands.

Introducing Bella, a friendly 2 year old Akita cross looking for a new home due to her owner’s pregnancy. She is very playful and confident but she is not used to being left alone for long periods. She does not walk well on the lead at the moment, but we believe with some firm training this could be corrected. Bella has displayed some signs of food aggression in the home, she also mouths so with this in mind her new owner would need to be willing to start from the beginning and provide ongoing training. Bella is friendly towards male dogs and cats, but has not lived with children before. Because of this and her over enthusiastic bounciness, she will not be rehomed with young children. Dylan – 14 month old male German Shepherd Dog cross Akita
This big cuddly bundle of fun is Dylan a 14 month old German Shepherd Dog cross Akita. Dylan is super friendly and loves to have his tummy rubbed. Dylan is looking for a new home because there are 3 young children in the home and Dylan isn’t getting the attention he needs. Dylan is microchipped and vaccinated, and the owners say that they are going to get him neutered a,s,a,p. Dylan would love a family that is energetic and would take him to training school.
Dylan pulls on his lead, and when he see’s other dogs in the park he pulls to get to them, he just wants to play. We would not place Dylan with very young children because he is so very boisterous he could easily knock them over. Can you help this fun loving boy.

Anna – 8 year old female German Shepherd Dog cross Akita
Anna is a large and lovely German Shepherd Dog cross Akita lady who is about 8 years old. She is currently under the care of Animal Helpline in Peterborough. She shares her kennel with other dogs and gets on well with them though she may need careful introductions with dogs she doesn’t know, after which she is fine. Anna is a very intelligent girl who is playful and doesn’t act her age at all. Ideally, Anna would love to find new people who are experienced with large breeds such as herself. She is a big strong girl and has the most expressive, pretty face and a lovely personality. She has certainly won the heart of the lady who runs the rescue and there is no doubt that she will make a loving and loyal companion for her new owner.
Anna really enjoys being groomed and is a very good natured girl. Her only dislike is cats, so she would not be able to be rehomed with them. You can see from her photos what a beauty she is. This is Chinook, a gorgeous 3 year old Akita cross boy looking for a new home due to not getting on with the other dog in the household. Chinook was placid with our assessor, he did not jump to meet her, and he took treats very gently, giving his paw. He has a basic knowledge of commands; this is something that could be worked upon in a new home. Chinook ideally needs an experienced large breed owner, who can lay out the boundaries and carry out the training that Chinook needs.
Chinook lives in a busy household with three children and other dogs, our assessor feels that he would benefit greatly from a new home where he will receive one on one attention and training, furthermore he should be the only pet. Despite currently living with children, we feel that Chinook would be best placed in a home with older teenagers or without children at all.

Alfie – 1 year old male Akita Cross
Alfie is a gorgeous Akita cross aged approximately 1 year old, this photograph really dosen’t do him justice. Alfie was in the pound and was in great danger of being euthanised, he is now in private kennels waiting for someone to take him home. The kennel staff say that Alfie is a stunning boy, still a little bewildered about what has happened to him, he is quiet and friendly. Please contact us for more information on Alfie.
