Beagle

Molly – 6 month old female Beagle

Molly is a 6 month old Beagle cross who has come into us as her owner could not cope with a young dog and a young child at the same time. Molly is a sweet girl who is, as to be expected, full of beans! Molly is in need of an active home that can take her to training classes, give her plenty of exercise and stimulation and really commit to her.

Molly is brilliant with children and very gentle with them but she can be quite bouncy so, as with all dogs, she must be supervised when around young children. Molly is also great with other dogs and knows her manners around them. She has met cats and though intrigued, she didn’t try to chase so she could live with confident (dog-savvy) cats.

Molly is quite strong on the lead due to her highly sensitive nose pulling her off places! This is improving in her foster home but is something that her new owners will need to work on. She has no issues with her food being touched or moved but is a bit of a greedy girl and will try to steal food. Again this is being worked on by her fosterer but will need continued work in her new home.

Molly is a very clever girl who knows her basic commands as well as “beg”!

If you think you can offer this wonderful girl the training, exercise and structure she needs for the rest of her life then please get in touch.

Molly has been vaccinated, micro chipped and spayed. She is currently on foster in Cornwall but we home across the UK.

If you’re interested in adopting Molly, please read our adoption guidelines and procedure;

Ramona – 2 year old female Beagle

This is Ramona she is a 2 year old beagle and is quite sad as beagles are normally so happy but she is very sad as she has been hit quite a bit at such a young age. She has made huge improvements in the last few weeks and is starting to make real progress she loves other dogs so we feel she may be better with another dog for company. Sharon and Amy are working their magic on her.

*Update February 2012*

A very special experienced home needed. This dog has had 3 homes to our knowledge and is nervous of new situations and people. He needs someone with beagle experience and preferably someone with another beagle. Not suitable for children due to his nervousness as he has been known to nip a stranger. He needs stability and a patient and understanding owner who is aware of his lack of training. He is house trained though has not been taught basic manners(playfighting and mouthing) He appears disinterested in cats. This MUST be his last home if he is to be allowed to develop normal behaviour.

Rupert – 6 year old male Beagle

Rupert is 6 years old. Beagles are loving, sweet, gentle, brave and intelligent. They are generally good with children and other dogs but because of their hunting instincts are best in a home without cats and other small animals. Beagles are determined, curious and watchful and require patient and firm training. Rupert has come to us via the dog pound so we have no background information on him. Since he has been with us he has been a good boy and is a very funny little lad who is extremely friendly and loves getting lots of big hugs and cuddles.
