Tyson – 6 year old male Boxer

Tyson is a six year old Boxer. He came into us with another Boxer who is now reserved waiting for his new home. Despite Tyson coming into us with another dog he would be best rehomed as an only dog as he doesn’t seem a huge fan of other canines. He’s an energetic boy who will need a home with plenty of exercise.

Tyson – 7 year old male Boxer

Tyson is a 7 year old boxer boy who came to us with Champ. They are looking for seperate homes as Tyson is becoming increasingly jealous of Champ and is not keen to share any attention or his toys and food which has caused issues between them. He needs to be the only pet in the house as he is very much a people dog and just wants all the fuss to himself. He is good with other dogs outside of the house though. Tyson is good with kids but has not lived with cats.

Bruno – 11 year old male Boxer

Bruno is an 11 year old senior boxer who doesnt look his age! He has been in out care for a while now with no serious interest :( Bruno enjoys the quiet life, he will happily sleep all day and go for short walks. He would be best as the only dog in the home or with another oldie who doesnt bother with him (he isnt really fond of other dogs but will ignore them).

He is great with kids, but would prefare a quiet life. Can anyone offer this old man a retirement home for the rest of his days? He is being fostered in Stoke.

Please note there is NO adoption fee for Bruno as he is an older dog. But a donation to the rescue would be appreciated.

Kane – 6-7 year old male Boxer

Kane is a 6-7 year old Boxer who is looking for a new home due to a relationship breakup. Kane is a lovely natured dog, loves cudddles and very loyal. He likes toys and bones but not too bothered by playing fetch. He is trained to sit, lie, stay, leave, roll over, play dead and bark on command. Kane will walk to heel once he has had a run off the lead and can also jump obstacles. Currently fed on a dry food but likes a little bit of wet food mixed in too.

Kane has been around children of 8-9 yrs of age, but will be best in a home with older kids due to his size, the children in the home should be taught to give him his own space too. Kane is good with small dogs, most female dogs and most passive male dogs. He is playful and sometimes this can be mistaken by other dogs for aggression.

Kane was kept with a cat from a kitten. They would play and sleep together but I don’t think he realised it was a cat! At relatives houses he chased their cat but once the novelty had worn off he left it alone. Kane is clean in the house and isnt destructive when left alone. Kane is fully vaccinated, microchipped and will be castrated

Lucy and Macey – 8 and 9 year old female Boxers

Meet lovely Lucy and Macey. Lucy is 8 years old and Macey is 9 years old. They are sisters bred by their owner from the same mother. They are a very devoted pair to each other and we would love to find a home for them together… Here is their story…

They were bred from a lady who had their mother she is not a big breeder and the dogs lived in the house and were kept as pets. When Lucy was a puppy approx 10 weeks old their mother died and Macey took over as the Mother figure to Lucy and still is they sleep together and Macey is always washing Lucy and they really love each other… They have been brought up with children from babies upwards and are fantastic with other dogs. They have very obviously been well loved and are actually very quiet and placid for Boxers and although they love to be with you will just lay down quietly.

Their owner had to work full time and while at work the dogs were left outside in a run they had a footpath running along side their house and if anybody walked along they would bark. The owner’s father used to go in each day to take them out and spend sometime with them but he has become very ill and is unable to do this and this is why probably the barking has started because they were being left too long on their own. The neighbours were continually complaining about the barking and she felt she had no choice but to rehome them.

Since coming into the sanctuary they have not barked but are not left all day on their own – they are very well balanced dogs and its so sad for them to be looking for another home at their age – their owner phones regularly to see how the girls are doing as its broken her heart too.

They are house trained, travel well and are not destructive. The owner’s mother had a cat which they just looked at and were not very interested but they have never lived with cats. Both these dogs are equally lovely and gentle girls…
