Bull Mastiff

Miriam – 2 year old female Bull Mastiff

Homing Requirements: Miriam needs a family who have had a larger dog before so they understand the management involved. They will appreciate how great she is to manage. Miriam could live with children we feel but dog experienced children. We have to see the world from Miriam’s perspective and we need to offer her stability, not an experiment which could led to her home failing through owner inexperience.

Her Story: Miriam was found stray. She obviously has had puppies at some point in her career! We were delighted to help Miriam in her hour of need and she is now in boarding kennels near Gatwick.

Advert: Miriam is a Miracle! She delights everyone who meets her and her calm disposition means people come out of their way to meet and greet her. She is in ‘rescue’ currently so in a home she will no doubt be enabled to let her ‘fur’ down, as she has a sense of play. She is positive and we have not encountered any aggressive tendency with her; she meets dogs well. To meet her is to love and appreciate for her depth and serenity. She is almost human in presence travelling in the car!

Miriam is a Bull Mastiff who is dark chocolate brindle in colour. She has a soft coat with a loose coat which folds about her head and shoulders. She is very sensory; she “looks and sees”, she “smells and tells” she may mark her territory on her walk and mimics a massive lioness, but she prowls without malice.

Poppy – 8 year old female Bull Mastiff

Poppy is a 8 year old spayed female Bull Mastiff who has three legs and was sadly abandoned. Poor Poppy is now looking for a new home to live out the rest of her days on a nice comfy sofa. She will need to live in a home with direct access to a garden and cannot do many stairs due to her weight and disability. We would prefer to home Poppy with someone who has experience with Mastiffs or similar. She is good with people and other dogs. She can live with children aged 12 years plus and a calm male dog.

Could you give this lovely lady the forever home she deserves?

Tommy – 6 month old male Bull Mastiff

Tommy is a Bull Mastiff baby. He is a bouncy strong boy, who doesn’t yet know his own strength, but is only believed to be around 6 months old. He is already microchipped, flead wormed and vaccinated. He is soon to be castrated. His new home should be used to giant breeds as he is still growing. As he is also a bit rough to be around small children, he is best with those a bit older. He can’t be left on my own for too long maybe a few hours at the most. He will need a lot of exercise when he gets older and will need some assistance learning to walk nicely on the lead.

Martha – 12 month old female Bull Mastiff

Martha is a Bull Mastiff, around 12 momnths old and came to us being very scared but is now learning to trust. She is looking for a kind and understanding home, with an owner that has experience of large dogs like Martha. She can be a little bouncy so older children in the home would be preferred.

Misty – 4 year old female Bull Mastiff

Misty is a 4 year old Bullmastiff girl that came in with her sister Corrina, they are both very sweet girls that have shown no bad ways, Misty is the fun loving one of these two girls and can be quite puppy like. Misty is now in a foster home located in Devon. Here is a little of what her foster carer has to say about her:

Misty has settled in nicely, her & my Dane have gotten used to each others ways & get on well, she is now crate trained, house trained & learning some manners, she sits when told & walks very well on a lead, I am very pleased with the progress she has made in a short time. She is good with other dogs, cats & children in fact she really loves people full stop!

Oh & she adores her squeaky toys gathering up all she can find to stash in her bed. Misty never attempts to go up stairs I don’t think she has ever seen them before, I often find her starring up them with a very confused expression! Also, although she is allowed to here, she doesn’t get on the furniture. She would make a great family dog as long as you can handle the snorts & snoring!

Misty is a small but adorable Bullmastiff, she is really out going and friendly, she does make some funny noises but that just adds to her wonderful personality.

Misty is now neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Corrina – 4 year old female Bull Mastiff

Corrina is a 4 year old Bullmastiff female that came in with her sister Misty, they are both very sweet girls that have shown no bad ways, Corrina is the more laid back & chilled of the two girls. Corrina is now in a foster home located in Buckinghamshire.

Here is an update from Corrina’s foster carer:

Taking pictures of Corrina is not the easiest thing in the world, the world moves at her pace…except when a pigeon has the gall to land on her patch, then things go into hyper drive…looks quite amusing, as she charges off with the hackles on her neck and with her tail raised.

She has been with us for two weeks and after a slow adjustment she has settled in quite well. no problems of any real nature to report. Takes most things in her stride. Much prefers a stroll to a walk, will occasionally allow Taz to play with her. Toys are not her thing, though she does seem attached to her polar bear, which has to be inspected every time she goes in her crate.

Her vocal range consists of strange soft cat like mewing and a full on mastiff bark with nothing in between so far. Her persistent licking has almost gone, now she comes for a genuine cuddle rather than what seemed like appeasement. She has acquired the knack of getting on the couch and becoming invisible. Despite seeming very laid back in the extreme she does at the end of the day appear to have all the good Bullmastiff traits.

Corrina is now clean in the house and she is very calm and easy to walk on the lead, Corrina can be shy of new people to start with but soon comes around once she feels safe. This very sweet girl loves people and other dogs once she has made friends, Corrina does not seem to care to much for noise and chaos so she is looking for a quiet, relaxed home with either no children or older calmer ones.

Corrina is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
