Rolo – 12 month old male Bulldog cross Boxer
Our gorgeous Rolo is a Bulldog cross cross Boxer aged approximately 12 months old who is in urgent need of a new home or foster home, due to his owners moving back in with parents and Rolo isn’t able to go. He is okay with some dogs, but is very very lively. He is ok with older kids but may be too lively for smaller ones. He is small – Bulldog size and he’s neutered vaccinated and chipped. He needs a home with someone who will give him lots of walks and attention.
Bonzo – 1 year old male Collie cross Bulldog
Homing Requirements: Bonzo has that shy reticent ‘rescue’ dog feel as a young inexperienced dog, currently in kennels. He needs an experienced settled family, sensitive to his needs; patience to bring him through. He needs a family where it’s all about Bonzo and helping Bonzo find security, reassurance and stability.
His Story: Bonzo was found running scared on a major A road. His finder took him home and in with her Staffie bitch and put notices up and asked around for 2 days. Bonzo was fine with her dog but her dog decided she didn’t want to share mum. The finder took her into the local vets … long story. Later Bonzo was kept under Battersea’s gaze for 7 days by the vet nurse, who took him home evenings and days off. We neutered and chipped him and bought him into kennels when his foster place ended. Bonzo is learning to settle in kennels and is beginning to trust strangers and enjoy his walks. Bonzo is currently in boarding kennels in the Farnham, Surrey Area.
Advert: Bonzo is around 1 year old and just bringing his skills together leaving his impoverished background behind. House trained and behaved in the house but of course is into play and needs a garden to let his ‘fur’ down. Quite mouthy with people when playing and needs reinforcement to commands he knows like sits, give paw and lie down. ‘Leave’ and ‘Off’ needs further training! With dogs he wants to play but he needs socialisation to learn to settle as he seems to want to jump on top of them. Lead walking is picking up well. Travels well.
Bonzo is a beautiful Collie type and has a thick coat in pastel colours with distinctive markings. His shyness and keen intelligence, coupled with receptiveness to earning food treats also ‘speaks’ collie. Bonzo just needs someone with the time and patience to teach him. He loves attention/fuss; may have had close bond with one person before, now needs stretching to trust others. Bonzo needs to set the pace allowing him to gain confidence and do the approaching. In nine months time he will be a confident all round dog of which there is no doubt!

Bruce is an adorable 3 year old Bulldog cross who is a favourite of the kennel staff. This lovely boy was found as a stray, tied up with a piece of old rope around his neck.
He is good with people and other dogs. We would prefer to an owner who has either owned or researched bull breeds or mastiff types before. Bruce is a lovely boy but he is strong on the lead so we will only rehome him with children aged 10 years plus and he will be neutered prior to rehoming.

Rolo – 8 month old male Boxer Cross Bulldog
Rolo is an 8 month old Boxer cross Bulldog puppy, who came to us from the stray pound after being handed over by his owner. He is a typical puppy and could do with some training. He seems ok with other dogs but wont be homed with small animals.
Rolo is still a puppy so needs a home with someone around for most of the day. He needs a home with no young children (teenage and over) as he is very lively and jumps up alot so will knock small kids over. He isnt overly interested in toys at the moment and is more motivated by treats but is willing to learn! This will probably be different when he is in a home environment. He has a funny little corkscrew tail which doesnt bother him, just caused by the bulldog in him! Rolo is neutered, vaccinated and chipped. he is currently in kennels in Ormskirk, Lancashire.
Gretel – 1 year old female Greyhound cross Bulldog
Gretel is a one year old Greyhound cross Bull Dog. As she’s a young girl, she’s still full of life and energy. Gretel is a medium to large sized dog so needs an owner able to give her the exercise she needs. As with any young dog, she would benefit from some basic training.
Currently kennelled in Treswell, Nottinghamshire please call Louise on 07716241348 to arrange an appointment. Please bear with us when ringing as we are very short staffed as Louise is employed by the kennel not by the rescue. Mon to Sat 10am – 6pm, Sun 10am – 4pm. A donation will be required. This goes someway to cover our costs.
Polly – 2 year old female Shar Pei cross Victorian Bulldog
Polly is a 2 year old female Shar Pei cross Victorian Bulldog. This sweet girl was used repeatedly for breeding and abandoned when no longer needed. Despite not receiving any love or care in her previous life, she is a gentle, loving dog who is good with people and other dogs. We would prefer to rehome Polly to someone who is home most of the day. She is fully house-trainned, travels well in the car and would benefit from further trainning. Polly could live with a calm male dog, children aged 8 years plus and will be spayed prior to rehoming.
Bully – 3 year old male American Bulldog cross English Bulldog
Bully is an American cross English Bulldog. He was a stray and never got claimed. Approx 3 years old. Quite a dominant young man, will need to go where new owners are experienced with this type of behaviour. He isn’t in with other dogs but has met them out and shown no aggression. He will be castrated. Is friendly with people but wouldn’t home him with children. Bully needs to realise he isn’t top dog.
Maddy – 3 year old female Bulldog cross Boxer
Maddy is a 3 year old Old Tyme Bulldog (Buldog/Boxer/American Bulldog cross) who has came to us due to her owner having to move back home with parents and she was too much for their resident old dog. Maddy is a lovely affectionate girl, all she ever wants to do is sit on your feet or roll over on her back, she is quite a timid girl in kennels but is coming out of herself more each day.
Maddy would love a home were she is the only dog and can be the centre of attention as she can be a bit of a bully with other dogs She has lived with cats with no problems but wold be best in a home with no children.
Maddy is spayed and vaccinated. She is Currently in kennels in Ormskirk.
