Dobermann Cross

Rosie – 3 1/2 year old female Dobermann cross Labrador

Rosie is a very sweet 3 1/2 year old black Doberman cross Labrador. She is a young, playful girl who loves to be outdoors playing with her favourite toys. She is energetic and requires an active home where she will have plenty of opportunity to go for long walks and have freedom to run and play. Rosie is responding well to basic training and is incredibly food motivated so has potential to learn so much more. Her new owners will ideally need experience of large breed dogs and are keen to continue her training in the home.

Rosie has demonstrated some good social skills here at the centre and is very playful with other dogs. She could potentially live with another dog in the home pending introductions at the centre. She has a lovely temperament and could live with children in the new home. Rosie previously chased cats so is unable to live with them in her new home.

Mosh – 9 week old male Doberman Cross

My name is Mosh. I came to the rescue with my brother and 2 sisters. I am a very fun loving typical puppy, as long as you continue my socialisations I will happily be great with other dogs as right now I am living with 8 others not inlcluding my siblings. I am not house trained yet but I have only just arrived at the centre, I have had my first vaccination and I am flead wormed and micro chipped.

I love playing chase and tug and I am a very gentle lad, I should grow to be a medium to large size dog. I would like a home where I will get lots of exercise and be given the training I need. As I am a puppy I can be homed with dog confident cats but I would obviously chase a scaredy cat.

If you would like to love me forever, please call Impawtant Pups Puppy Rescue on 07926 249449 for more information. You will need to fill out an application which you can request from impawtantpups@gmail.com and complete a homecheck.

Hamish – 9 week old male Doberman Cross

Hamish is a real joy to have in the house, he loves climbing up onto the sofa and into your arms for a cuddle, he is a very laid back chilled and quiet lad, he has his odd moments when playing with the puppies but the rest of the time he is very relaxed.

I need a home where I will get plenty of exercise and interaction. I would be great with another dog and with a dog confident cat. I love getting kisses and cuddles but I would be unhappy if I was left on my own a lot. I am still learning house training but as long as we spend time in the garden I am picking it up with lots of praise.

If you could love me forever please email impawtantpups@gmail.com for an application form, or if you want more information call Impawtant Pups Puppy Rescue on 07926 249449. All new homes will be homechecked.

Sid – 1-2 year old male Doberman Cross

Sid is one of our ‘Twelve dogs of christmas’ which are 12 dogs within our sanctuary whom we feel are a priority in terms of finding them new homes…either because they are older, nervous or struggling in kennels, or simply that they have been waiting too long.

Stunning Sid is a young doberman cross found wandering the streets and taken to the pound where he found himself on death row. He is friendly and playful, loves cuddles and is very responsive to learning new things. He has been waiting patiently for his new home for some time, and now we feel it’s really his time to shine, and to make his new family very happy by having such a wonderful cuddly boy in the home.

Sid is approximately 1-2 years old and he has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. ‘Hi, I’m Sid, and I would love nothing more than to be adopted by a family who will love and treasure me, and in return I will give them more love than they could dream possible. I just love people and I would love a new family to love me. I am playful and fun and am looking forward to lots of adventures with my new family. I’m clean in my kennel and i haven’t destroyed my bed or my toys…. I really will be a fabulous addition to my new family…

I have made friends with other dogs here at the sanctuary, and would I’ve met other dogs out and about and have played nicely with them. My Christmas wish didn’t come true this year…a Christmas in kennels was all I was given. I just hope someone can find it in their heart to give me the second chance I deserve for 2012…

If you can offer Sid or any of our dogs, a place in your heart and your home, please call Kymm on 07886 620009 or email jodiesedr@hotmail.com. Sid could live with another dog and could live with children aged 10 plus. He can be cat tested if needed.

We can’t think of a better start to the year than for Sid to find the forever home he has been patiently waiting for. Please make 2012 the year that Sid’s
future changes for the better…..

Django – 16 month old male Doberman Cross

Django is a medium size, black and tan, 16 month old Doberman cross. Django is a lovely friendly boy who is high energy. Once you have met him you won’t forget him. He does require some training and although he is new at the kennels he is responding well already. Django has a secret love of water. He loves to swim at any given opportunity and failing this will try to find a puddle to lay in…he is a real character and life with Django would never be dull. Django’s perfect forever home would be with an experienced active couple/person or energetic family with older children that are around most of the time.

Ideally a home where he has lots of space and with owner/s that would be prepared to meet his needs …physically and mentally. We feel that with a responsible owner Django has the potential to flourish and we feel he could possibly do well at fly-ball or agility. Although Django is dog friendly, we feel that he needs to be in a home that can give him one to one attention. Kennelled in Coningsby, Lincolnshire. Please call Jan on 0759 704 8743.

Keera – 8 month old female Doberman Cross

Keera is an 8 months old cross Doberman (we were told her mother is a Doberman). Keera is a loving companion but is VERY nervous due to incorrect handling in her early months so she needs a lot of work on socialisation with dogs and people and basic training. She must be allowed to approach strangers in her own time and not have attention forced on her. At the moment Keera is doing some puppy mouthing due to teething and will sometimes nip in play if you are playing ball with her and she gets over excited. She loves routine and consistent handling and is a very calm dog, she only does mouthing when she gets over excited. We have found that if she can be allowed to play with other dogs and really run around she does a lot less mouthing. So we come to the conclusion it is based on exuberance and frustration not getting enough exercise, as a result the foster has her running off lead playing with other dogs 3 hours a day.

Keera is cat friendly. She is an exceptionally fast learner and has improved beyond recognition in her foster home. Her foster is training her to respond to hand signals only with no verbal cues and she is very good at this because she is so very attentive.. Keera pulls on the lead for the first part of the walk but once tired will settle nicely. Keera loves human company, she just wants to be with you, lie at your feet and go with you wherever you go. She travels well in the car so could be with you on your holidays in dog friendly accommodation.

Keera needs someone with a lot of time and exceptional patience, she needs to grow up in a calm confident environment where she will not be put under pressure and where she can be allowed to mature and gain confidence with another dog in the household. She will need a very confident and experienced dog handler well versed in reward based training techniques. We will only rehome her where someone is around most of the time so no workers please. We will only rehome her with another mature sensible dog who will play with her and teach her dog socialisation skills.

Keera is child friendly and has been fostered with children. However, as she is a boisterous pup we will not rehome her with children. She is not suitable for first time dog owners and we strongly recommend professional training..

Vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped. She is just coming into season so cannot be neutered for 3 months, the new owners will have to sign a legal contract to get this done.
