Kane – 8 year old male German Shepherd cross Doberman

Kane – is an 8 year old wonderful German Shepherd cross Doberman male neutered, Not to be trusted with chickens, he cannot be rehomed with young children, he is very good on or off lead, good with cats, He is good around other dogs. He is currently at the Sanctuary. Kane has been with us in a kennel at the rescue for two years and we would dearly love to find him a super home. William – 1 year old male Dobermann cross English Bull Terrier

Hello, I’m William the male Dobermann cross English Bull Terrier and I’m 1 year old. I was found abandoned on the streets of London. I would like to find a home with someone who has owned dogs before and are fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog. I can live with dogs and children aged eight years and upwards. I am due to be assessed to see my behavior with cats and young children. I need a minimum of one hour of active off lead exercise every day in a park or open space. I am house Trained.

Archie – 3-4 year old male Doberman cross Rottweiler

Archie is a 3-4 year old Doberman cross Rottweiler and is sadly one of our more long term residents. He is a very quiet and calm dog and only responds to calm confident handling. Initially he is wary of new people but once he recognises somebody as a calm assertive leader and trusts them he becomes a fantastic dog. His temperament is quite fragile which means he doesn’t respond at all well to nervous or forceful handling. But, by contrast, he does excel and will flourish in a calm consistent environment. He is very intelligent and responds very well to training and does enjoy affection with people he knows.

He walks well with other dogs preferring more calmer dogs to excitable ones, however he does not appreciate being overly pestered by other dogs. He needs a new owner who is willing to come to the rescue and spend time with him on several occasions prior to adoption. We would therefore advise it better for him to be homed within a reasonable (under 2 hours travel) distance from the rescue. Archie would not be suited to living with children as would prefer a more calm and quiet environment. Please get in touch for further information.

Conan – 6 year old male German Shepherd cross Dobermann

Conan is a neutered male German Shepherd/Rottweiler cross Dobermann who is approxmiately 6 years old. He is not good around younger children as he does tend to jump up and he has bitten a child when he was fostered out in 2003.

Despite sometimes being destructive and insecure, Conan is very affectionate and does love his tummy tickled! He gets on with most other dogs but not cats and he does occasionally bark at the cockerels here. He can jump VERY high and has very poor recall – he thinks it’s all a big game and will just run faster if you chase him!
