Dogue de Bordeaux Cross

Frankie – 8 month old male Dogue de Bordeaux Cross

This cheeky little boy is Frankie…Looking for a home that understands the breed, Frankie is a typical playful pup who loves the outside world. Great with other dogs, he has seen cats, likes children (will be re-homed with children over 8 years old) and has a desire for life and his interests… New into rescue, he will undergo further assessments as necessary, to ensure his suitability. This chap was rescued from a family home, that had not treated him with respect, and chose to blame him for being a young pup.

With this behind him, Frankie is hoping to continue his life, with a family that will appreciate, and love him.

More info coming shortly….

Daphne – 18 month old female Douge De Bordeaux Cross

Around 18 months old, young Daphne has found herself in rescue, through no fault of her own. Found as a stray, Daphne was taken into the local dog pound and set to be put to sleep. Fortunatley for this sweet girl, she was saved, and had managed to secure a place in rescue.

Now, currently living with 9 other dogs from Rotties, Mastiffs, Jack Russells, Chinese Hairless to English bull terriers, this girl gets on great with the other. She walks very well on the lead, takes and responds well to instructions, highly motivated by food, very clean inside the house she is now living, takes food gently and does not mind or have any issues with you touching her food etc. This girl is also living with 2 young children, from age 3 and up, to whom she has displayed no bad ways.

Indeed further assessments are necessary, and will be applied throughout her stay.

This girl requires an experienced home with children over 10 years old, or no children. She is capable of living with another dog, but we would prefere to home this girl as an only dog, allowing her to absorb all the love and attention required.

We suggest at least 2 hours of a good workout (runnin with a bike, playing, walking etc). She loves her toys, and is motivated by a ball or something she can catch.

Vaccinated, wormed, micro-chipped, flead and Spayed, this girl is ready to go.

Harvey – 18-20 month old male Douge De Bordeaux Cross

Harvey was brought into the local pound approx 4/6 wks ago by the police,he was found straying. He was entire but we have had him neutred. He is currently in kennels approx 18/20 months old, beautiful pale chocolate colour with white Douge De Bordeaux Cross. He was great with a 7 yr old boy, that he had met, but will be assessed further. Very gentle when taking food, knows basic commands. He will be tested with cats and other animals, just to gather an idea of his true nature. Well behaved at the local vets, overall he seems to be a nice lad, in need of a good home. If you have large breed experience, then please generate your interest. We would love to hear from you!

Rico – 14 month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Dogue de Beaux

Rico is a 14 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Dogue De Bordeaux. Rico was the result of an accidental mating in the park with the owner’s dog and a friends Dogue De Bordeaux. 3 puppies were found very good homes and Rico was kept as company for his Mum Tia. Unfortunately they fell out when Rico was 8months old which can happen with littermates or dogs from the same family. The two have been kept in separate homes since. Rico is a very soppy dog who loves cozy cuddles. We would recommend him for children over 10 years and to be the only pet.

King Solomon – 2-3 year old male Dogue De Bordeaux Cross Neopolitan Mastiff

This is King Solomon, he is a 2-3 year old Dogue de Bordeaux cross Neopolitan Mastiff. Solly as he is generally called at the centre, came to us through no fault of his own. He will need to go to regular training classes to continue the work he has started here. He may be good to live with a confident cat we will need to do further assessment on that if necessary. Solly would prefer to be the only dog in the household.

Due to his size Solly would be ok to live with children aged 16+ who are confident and used to larger dogs, as he does jump up but is having training to correct this. With time, training and patience Solly will be an excellent dog. It would be preferable for him to have experienced owners, particularly with larger breed dogs. King Solomon is a brilliant and very affectionate dog that just wants another chance.
