English Springer Spaniel
Dodger – 3-4 year old male English Sprigner Spaniel
Dodgy is a 3-4 year old springer spaniel. He is a lovely boy but does have a few OCD tedancies which I will be working with him on. Nothing major just typical springer and when stressed spins in circles. Great with other dogs and is terrified of cats
Bridget – 8 month old female English Springer Spaniel
This is Bridget an 8 month old liver and white springer spaniel. She is a failed gun dog and is a little shy but learnig very quick how nice we himans can be. She is still grubby and if I hadnt of bathed her myself wouldnt of thought she had been bathed, so few more baths and she will be back white.
Zak – 9 year old male English Springer Spaniel
Zak is a 9 year old male english springer spaniel. Poor Zak came to us in a terrible and had so obviously been neglected by his previous owner. Despite his terrible past Zak is a friendly lad, he loves his walks and has good recall. Typical spaniel and does pull on the lead. After his walk he loves nothing more than his dinner and a night on the sofa. He doesn’t ask for much and you would hardly know he is there. He is currently in foster with 6 other dogs, both male and female and he gets on great with other canines. We are looking for a quiet retirement home for this boy to settle for his latter years where there are no young children.

Zak is currently in foster in the North west area, please call Steph on 07952017696, if there is no answer, please leave a message and your call will be returned.

Marley – 7 year old male English Springer Spaniel
Marley is a gorgeous 7 year old English Springer Spaniel Boy. You would never think Marley is 7! He is a lovely friendly boy, who is good with other dogs, and travels well in the car. He can be a little strong on the lead at first but soon settles.
Marley sits, gives paw, is clean an non destructive in his kennel. He is a little over weight at the moment, so a nice steady increase in exercise for Marley would be the way forward.
Marley really would love to be in his forever home. Can you offer him the love and home he deserves ?
Dodger – 3 year old male English Springer Spaniel
Dodger is a springer spaniel, 3 years, neutered male, house trained, good with children/dogs, loves to play ball, little timid, fully vaccinated.

Corragh – 3-4 year old male Springer Spaniel
This is Corragh he is a 3-4 year old black and white springer spaniel. He was handed in as he was a failed gun dog. He is a very quiet surprisingly calm springer and is in foster with 5 other dogs. Lovely boy needs a bit of tlc.

Spud – 4 year old male English Springer Spaniel
Spud is a 4 year old neutered male English Springer Spaniel who needs rehoming as he was no longer wanted by his owner after breaking his leg. Unfortunately, poor Spud had to have his front right leg amputated but he still loves running around and playing. He is a lovely dog who gets on well with other dogs and could live with a calm female. He is house and crate-trained and he can be left on his own for up to three hours. Spud could live in a family with children aged 12 years plus.

If you think you could give handsome Spud his loving forever home, call us on 020 8341 3196.

Hello, my name is Reggie. I’m a seven year old male Springer Spaniel. I arrived at The Mayhew because my owners were moving to a property which didn’t allow pets. I am a friendly, confident and fun-loving boy. I’m toilet trained, I know all the usual commands which I respond well to and I can be left on my own for a few hours without any problems. I love going to the park and I have a good recall off my lead.
I’m not interested in other dogs and I prefer not to interact with them, I’d much rather be playing fetch with a tennis ball. I am very friendly with everyone I meet and I get on well with strangers but I don’t like going to the vets and I will sometimes show aggression if someone tries to restrain or manhandle me. I’m a very playful dog who loves his toys and I’m also very affectionate. I’m a healthy chap but I need to be fed a high fibre diet.

I am now looking for a forever home with an experienced owner who has researched my breed type. I’m looking for an all adult home without visiting young children and I will need to be the only pet in the household. My new owners will be expected to provide me with a hour of off lead exercise in the park everyday. If you’re interested in adopting me you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog, which must not be taken lightly.
I hope to see you soon
Reggie

Dexter is an english springer spaniel aged 1-3 and will be castrated and vaccinated before going to a new home. He is a typical spaniel, busy busy busy. He is un sure of new situations and needs calm kind handling and so we are looking for an adult only home. He is fine with other dogs and could live with or without them.
Experience of rescue dogs is more important than experience of the breed but he is going to me an active character. Dexter is in North Hertfordshire, please ring or email for more details. 01462790844 k9interaction@btinternet.com a home check, adoption form and donation is required.
Sam – 15 month old male English Springer Spaniel
Sam is a 15 month old Springer Spaniel cross Border Collie. He is a very sweet boy, in need of a very active home where he can get lots of cuddles and lots of walks. Sam came to his current foster home a couple of months ago and he had no basic training. But in that time he has improved immensely due to consistent training and positive reinforcement – this must be continued in his new home. His lead training needs to be worked on but he is crate trained and paces around the house when he wants to go out to toilet. He has no problems with food and he loves to run around. It would be best for him to not live with cats but he is happy to live with other dogs and older children. He absolutely loves other dogs – he just wants to play when out and about, but is submissive to his housemate when at home.
Sam’s fosterer says that since first fostering Sam back in November he has come on in leaps and bounds:
“When he first came in, he didn’t know what it was to be a dog. But since then, he has learnt so much.
His manners are coming on brilliantly, he sits for food and waits with slobber dribbling till he is told he can have it. He will not jump up at visitors anymore, he does still bark at the postman but we are working on that and he is very clever so will be there in no time. He will play ball all day if you have the energy and no dogs come along to have a sniff (they’re more fun than tennis balls) and when we sit down quietly for an evening he will bring toys to you for you to throw for him. He most definitely has Collie in him!
Sam loves to sit on you for cuddles if you sit on the floor and will rest his head on your lap for a stroke when you’re sat on chairs or sofas – he doesn’t care how he gets his cuddles so long as he gets them!!
Sam has been a joy to foster and seeing him grow from a scared animal into a little man has been a privilege. Whoever is lucky enough to re-home him will get immense pleasure from having him around and seeing him grow so much further with the training they put in. He is a special boy and needs a special owner to give him the time and training he deserves.”
Sam is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. He is currently on foster in South Wales but we re home across the UK.
