Barney – 6+ year old male Collie

Barney is a 6 year old + elderly male Border Collie. He has limited site and is almost blind, he is well behaved, enjoys a walk then a good long sleep. Good with cats and other dogs. Well loved but the owners new accommodation does not allow dogs. All vets bills will be paid for the rest of his life.

This little lad is Nobby, he was a stray and we think he is around 4 years old. He looks to be a whippet cross terrier and what a lovely boy he is. He is quick to learn and will make someone a great companion.

He is castrated, vaccinated, micro chipped, house trained, loves running with other dogs or just running! He is starting to respond very well to recall to whistle and knows other commands, has started agility training and loves his paddling pool.

Can you offer this lovely boy a fantastic new forever home?

Claire – 22 month female Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Claire urgently needs a foster home or a forever home or another rescue to take her in. Claire is a 22 month old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She is with her current owners but needs a new home as she is being left and is chewing when alone. Her owners may put her to sleep if a home is not found ASAP.

Claire is a really loving little girl who deserves a home of her own. She is fine with dogs out and about. Claire is great with children (over the age of 10) and has been living with another dog.

She knows sit, down, stay and has good recall. She will need some training as she is quite bouncy.

She is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Claire is in Kent.

BB is a 1 year old male large Cross-Breed who is looking for a loving new home. He has recently come into rescue after being abandoned in a town, and like the friendly boy he is, just followed anyone that made a fuss of him. He is extremely handsome and despite his size and weight is straight on your lap as soon as you sit down for a cuddle!!

He is vaccinated and microchipped and due to be neutered shortly. He is a dream to walk on the lead and walks happily with other dogs including an entire male GSD. He adores attention and is happy to sit and be stroked all day and he gives lovely kisses!

Saffy – 6 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Saffy is a 6 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is very special we have to admit. She wins your heart totally. She knows all the tricks in the book; the coy look in her eyes, siding up to you. She is 18″ to the shoulder, has a beautiful head and face with a velvety rich coloured brindle fur so soft to touch. She loves company, but can be left .. but be prepared for her doing the bends on your return. She doesn’t like the rain or snow and needs persuasion to use the garden on such days, but has very good housetraining and holds despite. Saffy will use either an open dog bed or crate; a sofa or chair to relax in.

She understands house rules. We are looking for a situation where she is spoilt and inclusive in her family. Saffy can react when closed in a crate so this is not advisable for her except for travelling. She also is very excited with cats! Saffy is neutered, vaccinated and chipped.

Saffy is making a “slow but sure” recovery with her skin and fur and she has put on weight, but will drop it quickly in kennels so ideally her family would only use kennels in an emergency. She loves people and will accept dogs in her territory once introduced outside on neutral territory until she knows them. Saffy can react to ‘claiming food’, but not toys or other objects. So food needs awareness with other dogs and close management so Saffy doesn’t chose to manage the situation! She can play with humans sometimes as though they are dogs touching with her mouth, but clearly playing expressing fun and love. Only ever happens to people she loves. Saffy is a rescue favourite so only special families need apply!

Saffy is a slender frame brindle Staffie who has had many litters in her past. She mixes well with dogs outside, tends to put her paws on their back as a greeting inside her house. Very loving nature. She is nasally … a snorty Staffie but not barky! Only pet with close relationship with her owners like in the bedroom at night. Query past abuse by 10-17 year olds as very wary of them.
