Tara – 4 year old female German Shepherd Cross
Tara is a 4 year old German Shepherd cross, that has been in kennels for the past year now and is looking for her forever home. She is very good with other dogs and can live with them in the home. Tara has lots of manners and is well trained, and responds well to learning new things. She is looking for people that have had lots of experience with owning dogs, preferably shepherds.
Tara gets uncomfortable when faced with strangers, and will need a quiet calm home that will have few, if any visitors. Tara is looking for a rural or semi-rural home as she is scared by load noises – such as trucks, or loads of people. She would even love a home that has a huge yard or garden that she can stroll around in within a group of dogs.
Due to Tara being unsure of visitors she will be looking for an adult home only. Tara is fully vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped. Tara loves playing ball, swimming and long walks, so if you think she is the dog for you then please look no further and get in contact today.

Keano is a gorgeous 8 year old male German Shepherd Dog Cross. Unfortunately his current owners are going into sheltered accommodation and cannot take Keano with them. Keano would be best to be only dog in the household, and is definately not suitable for cats. He is a good natured dog who is used to being with a retired couple. Can you offer him a new home?
Lewis – 7 month old male Collie cross German Shepherd Dog
Lewis is a 7 month old Collie cross German Shepherd Dog and is currently on foster in Aberystwyth, West Wales. He isnt very big and will be a collie sized dog when fully grown. Lewis is a lovely friendly dog most of the time but does have some problems, he does not like to be left and will become very vocal, so someone home most of the day and with understanding neighbours is a must.
He is on foster with other dogs and loves to play with them although sometimes does go over the top, so your dog would have to be of the kind that will not react badly to this. Although a more dominant type dog that will put him in his place without aggression would do him some good i think. He is currently on foster with cats but is not great with them and will chase, thankfully his foster mum is an experienced fosterer and is trying to train him out of this, unfortunately we wont rehome Lewis to a home with cats unless the owners are extremely experienced with this problem and local so as introductions can be done slowly.
Lewis is good with most children but does seem to not like some teenage boys and this manifests itself in fear and barking at them, which can be scary, we feel Lewis will suit a home with no children or much older children who know how to deal with dogs like this . As you can see from the photo below he is fine with my 14 year old son.
He also will chase bikes and jump up at the people on them, his foster mum has been working with him on this and he has improved immensely but we must make sure any new home are aware that he may do this.
In all we are looking for an experienced home to take on Lewis and carry on the training his foster mum has put in so far with him.
All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family.

Roxy is a beautiful 5 year old female German Shepherd Dog Cross. Roxy hasn’t had the best of starts in life as she was locked in a shed and used for breeding. You wouldn’t blame her if she had problems trusting humans but once you gain her confidence she relaxes and loves to be fussed and groomed. She will need an understanding and patient new owner, willing to give her the time and effort she deserves.
Anna – 3-4 year old German Shepherd cross Japanese Akita
This lovely lady is Anna, a German Shepherd cross Japanese Akita. She’s a big, playful girl and quite strong. She would suit an experienced large breed owner.
Anna has recently had a mammary tumour removed but is fine now. Anna shares her kennel with 2 male dogs and gets on fine with them. Ros, who runs the rescue, says she really likes Anna and that she is a lovely dog. She cannot be rehomed with cats.

Hello everybody, my name is Gentle Ben and I’m 8-10 years old. The name was given to me by the kind staff here, because I live up to it. I’m a very well trained boy, and love nothing better to sit and give you my paw, and hopefully get a treat in return!
As I’m not in my first flush of youth, I really would prefer a quiet family to look after me, and take me for gentle walks, I’m very good on, and off, my lead. I’m afraid my eyesight isn’t what it used to be, so I really need somebody to love and care for me! I’m told i’m great with other dogs and have been microchipped.
