Kia - 1 year old female Japanese Akita
Kia is a lovely 1 year old Japanese Akita girl who in her short life has lived with two different owners. Kia is a real “people” dog, who has had some basic training, however this will need to be continued by her new owner, as it is suspected that she got away with a lot in her previous homes!
She will sit for a treat, appears to be dog-friendly and has previously lived with children. Kia is spayed, micro-chipped, vaccinated and is currently in the care of a rescue in the Fife area.

Echo - 6 year old male Japanese Akita
Echo is an older Japanese Akita gentleman who is a bit of a looker! Aged approximately 6 years of age he has been calm and nice natured whilst in the kennels and is therefore a firm favourite with the lady who is looking after him. Echo has served his time at the pound and is now looking for a home to call his own. Can you offer this lovely gent a new home to call his own?
Ziva - 11 month old female Japanese Akita
Ziva is a lively and energetic 11 month Japanese Akita girl looking for a new owner with a lot of patience! She is an affectionate girl, who loves the company of people; however she has separation issues and presently cannot be left for longer than 2 – 3 hours on her own.
Ziva will need a new home where she is the only dog and owners who work either part time or not at all. Ziva is not keen on young children, however she is house and lead trained, fully vaccinated and trains well for food!

Willow is a lovely female 5 year old Japanese Akita who has been handed into the pound by her owners. She is a very proud and graceful girl who is waggy and happy. Willow’s out date at the pound is 23rd April.
George - 6 years + male Japanese Akita
George is an older boy, however this has not led him to be treated with respect. He was found tied up outside the pound in Huddersfield in freezing cold February, I saw him today for the first time and was told that he had a put a lot of weight on in this time - he is still very underweight.
George urgently needs to find a new forever home or forster home within the next few days - can you offer this lovely boy a good life?
The kennel staff believe that George has been beaten over the years, and as such can be nervous of sudden movements.
George would be best suited to a home where he is the only pet, and with patient owners, prefereably with breed experience.

Milo is a Japanese Akita male aged approximately 2 years old. I don’t think anything I can say would actually do Milo justice. He is a beautiful boy with stunning markings and a lovely personality. He is affectionate, polite and appears not to mind other dogs. Milo desperately needs to find a new loving home, can you offer him a second chance and new home?
He pulls on the lead at first, however this was the first walk he had enjoyed in two weeks and he settled after a few minutes. He likes going in the car and travels well, curious about the world going by around him! Milo will be further assessed in the coming days - any excuse to spend more time with him! He is now in safe kennels.

Penny is a Japanese Akita female aged approximately 4 years old, she was dumped at the pound and just let loose, it took the staff an hour to catch her as she was terrified. Understandably it was difficult to assess her at first, being so scared. However she has now settled into her surroundings the staff all love her and she loves them!
She’s a gentle soul and quiet, is still cautious of meeting new people and is a total lady, so she’ll come to you when she’s fine and ready! We are looking for a quiet home for her, no children and preferably she would be only dog to be spoilt and loved.

Angel is a 5 year old white Japanese Akita female, who is looking for a new home due to a relationship break down. House-trained, Angel is described as obedient, playful and easy-going by her current owner, however she has not been socialised with other dogs, has not been for a walk in some time and is wary of strangers.
A lovely girl, any prospective owners will have to be prepared to work with Angel to carry out the training and socialisation that she has missed in the past few years.
