Suki - 6 year old female Japanese Akita
Suki (ref 88) is a 6 year old bitch being given up due to a change in personal circumstances. She is an average sized bitch, very friendly and knows basic obedience. She is great in the car and is currently living outside in a kennel but is used to living in the home and misses this dreadfully.
She is not overly keen on strange dogs when out on walks but gets along fine with her male Staffordshire Bull Terrier male friend, she should live happily with the right male after proper introductions. She does not like cats so will therefore not be rehomed in a household with cats present.

Kenzie (ref 99) is a gorgeous 3 year old (approximately) boy with an adorable bear face. Brought into the pound at Sheffield as a stray, Kenzie was found tied to a tree, and despite being so cruelly abandoned this boy loves people – and more importantly loves being fussed!
Kenzie knows basic commands such as “sit” and “paw” and he will be moved to safe kennels this weekend, where he will be assessed further.

Maggie (ref 100) is a 4 year old spayed Japanese Akita who is looking for a new home due to a change in her owner’s working hours. Maggie responds well to commands, loves to fetch, be chased and play tug games.
An experienced owner is required for this gorgeous girl, who does have some food guarding issues. Unsure of young children, Maggie will not be placed in a family with children under the age of 12, or in a household with other pets.

Amber (ref 101) is a beautiful 5 year old Japanese Akita spayed girl who is looking for a new home due to changes both within the family and working situation of her current home. A delight on the lead, she is described as “an attractive, amiable and obedient Akita”.
Amber likes to be brushed and stroked, loves human company, but in typical Akita fashion also appreciates her own space! Amber is a dominant girl, who will require an experienced owner, with time to dedicate to get to know her and maintain her training. Amber will not be placed in a home with other pets, children, or where children frequently visit.

Orla (ref 78) is a female Japanese Akita approximately 4 years old, she was found tied to a fence with Malaki (ref 79). She is a sweetheart, she loves people and gets on well with other male dogs.
Her soul mate Malaki has now been rehomed so Orla is in desperate need of a loving home herself. She comes spayed and vaccinated. She cannot go to a home with cats.

Pepper is a Japanese Akita female aged approximately 9-10 years of age. She is a very loving pet who enjoys nothing more than company and a warm place to sleep. She is very gentle when it comes to taking treats. She is absolutely amazing with children and has never once showed an ounce of aggression to anyone who approaches her. She will eat absolutely anything and loves oval treats, burger shaped treats and the bark-like multi-coloured chews.
She is brilliant on the lead, will pull a little at first but soon calms down once she gets over the initial excitement. Pepper is also still very puppyish at heart, please don’t let her age put you off as she has plenty of time left in her yet, she is simply looking for a warm and loving home to call her own in her retirement years. Pepper will not be placed with another female but could possibly live with the correct male.

Kyia is a 2 year old Japanese Akita male and Keara is a 5 year old female Japanese Akita. They have lived together for 2 years and we would like to rehome them together if possible as they are inseperable. They currently live outside in a kennel so could live inside or out. They pulled a bit whilst out walking, they are strong dogs.
A dog came near them on the walk and they didn’t show any signs of dog aggression. They were happy to accept fuss from our reps. They will need an experienced Japanese Akita owner who is a strong pack leader and would be willing to spend a lot of time training them. Unfortunately they don’t like people in uniform, this would have to be managed carefully.

Angel is a 5 year old white Japanese Akita female, who is looking for a new home due to a relationship break down. House-trained, Angel is described as obedient, playful and easy-going by her current owner, however she has not been socialised with other dogs, has not been for a walk in some time and is wary of strangers.
A lovely girl, any prospective owners will have to be prepared to work with Angel to carry out the training and socialisation that she has missed in the past few years.

Kai is a 20 month old male Japanese Akita. He is a big playful pup who desperately needs a home to call his own. He is slightly under weight at the moment but is very strong. He needs a firm but loving owner to carry on his training.
He has not been well socialised with other dogs, he is slightly scared of them but has no aggression, with some socialisation he should live happily with another dog without any problems. Kai is not tested on cats or kids. Due to his size, he will not go to a home with kids under the age of 8.
