Labrador Cross

Bonnie – 1 year old female Labrador Cross

Bonnie is a one year old Labrador cross. She’s a shy girl as she’s had a tough start in life so will be a bit nervy when you approach her until she realises you won’t hurt her. Bonnie would benefit from an owner who is experienced to help bring on her confidence. A lovely girl!

Zeus – 1 year old male Labrador cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Homing Requirements: Zeus needs a family who are up for his high puppy enthusiasm and able to offer him an active and social life. Zeus could live with dog savvy children providing care was taken with exit management and they were respectful of his place in their family. Always lived successfully with children, dogs and cats.

His Story: Zeus’s family basically dumped him at the vets. NB Rescue places for Staffie xs’ are rare to achieve so this is why so many Staffies get taken to the vets with a story to ‘get rid of them!’ The vets saw through the story and secured a rescue place with us having neutered him in preparation. Zeus wasn’t in kennels for long and is currently enjoying a country foster with 3 other dogs, cats and is having a great time. Fostered Liphook, Hants.

Advert: Zeus is a Labrador x Staffie: We know that as he is currently fostered with 2 black Labradors who are so much his cousins! Zeus isn’t aware he is foster, he is having a wonderful time mixing with dogs, cats and the odd pheasant! He loves travelling in the car, is housetrained, settles when in his fosterer’s office. Yes a puppy born with an ‘on/ off’ switch. Zeus is fun; loves a run. Mr Sociability and so very endearing.

Zeus in due his 1st birthday. He is fit, in brilliant health and has a shiny black coat with a touch of curl. He is everything a family could want providing they are not Staffie prejudice as his Staffie nature is shining through as loving, caring and so loyal. Zeus needs to live with at least one other dog and can live with a cat or you – 2!

Please visit Zeus’s thread on our forum: http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/sutra71622.php#71622 to find out more and follow his progress.

Reggie – 1 year old male Mastiff cross Labrador

The wonderful, handsome Reggie who is looking for this new forever home. could that be you? Reggie is a 1 year old Mastiff cross Labrador, he’s an unusual colour as he has dark brown and black, but he is not brindle marked. He is a wonderful calm natured dog, who is very human focused and eager to please. I would trust this dog with kids, other dogs and possibly cats with the right introductions – very calm steady temperament.

Reggie would suit a active family so he can enjoy all long walks,  and running about. He gets on great with other dogs, walks well on the lead and is very gentle in nature and temperament. Reggie is crate trained and non destructive. Reggie needs to be neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped prior to rehoming. What more could you want from a dog. This boy deserves the best home possible and someone is going to end up with a wonderful boy.

Ben – 7 year old male Labrador Cross

Please meet the most delightful dog named Ben! Ben is a seven year old Labrador cross. Ben has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Ben is living in a foster home in Colchester with cats and other dogs. Ben is a gentle and sweet lad who asks for nothing other than love and a comfy bed. He is such a gentleman and will be a fantastic addition to his new family.  He travels well and is a quiet and calm lad. Here’s what his foster mum says about him:

Ben is a lovely dog to have around, he just fits in as i can imagine he will wherever he goes, he is clean in the house, gets on well with my dogs, is scared of my cat but will chase her in the garden. Ben is non-destructive when left, walks ok on a lead and has good recall off lead. He is a ready made dog who will bring lots of pleasure to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him.

Ben likes a chilled out lifestyle so we would like a home with children over 12. If you could be the lucky new family for Ben, please email jodiesedr@hotmail.co.uk or call 07886 620009

Norton – 2-3 year old male Labrador cross Springer Spaniel

Norton is a Labrador cross with a springer spaniel, we think, he is 2 – 3 years old, castrated and vaccinated . He is a lovely boy and gets on well with the other dogs and people, he would be too bouncy for a family with young children, older children would be fine. He has not been cat tested but he may get a little obsessed with them.

He loves his treats so training should be no problem, he is quite strong on a lead but again that should be no problem to sort out. He would be great fun as an only dog or he could live with another dog that could cope with his energetic play.

Norton is in North Hertfordshire a home check and donation is required. Please phone or email for more details 01462790844 k9interaction@btinternet.com

Izzy – 2 year old female Labrador cross Sharpei

Izzy is one of our ‘Twelve dogs of christmas’ which are 12 dogs within our sanctuary whom we feel are a priority in terms of finding them new homes…either because they are older, nervous or struggling in kennels, or simply that they have been waiting too long.

Izzy is a truly gorgeous and loving girl who thinks everyone and everything was put on this earth for her to love and play with! Izzy has been here for six months, and we are completely amazed that she is still with us. We know for sure that whoever comes to meet her will fall in love with this fun and charming girl. Izzy is a 2 year old Labrador cross Sharpei. She has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Hi, I’m Izzy! I’m not really sure why I’m here and looking for a new home. I was in a home and I had given birth to my beautiful babies, then one day I was taken in the car and my owner drove to the police station and opened the door and threw me into the reception and then ran off. I don’t know where he went, or why he didn’t come back for me. I miss my babies…

The people here have all been lovely to me, but I long for my forever home more than anything. I love people, children and other dogs. I would love a home with another dog to play with, I would play all day if I could! After I had been neutered, I went to a lovely ladies house for a few days whilst I recovered, and she kept telling me what a good girl I was for going to the toilet in the garden and also for not chewing up her stuff!

I’m a really good girl off my lead, and I come back when I’m called. I don’t guard my food, in fact the girls here call me ‘perfect izzy’ because I try so hard to please everyone. I am quite strong on the lead at first but then I’m just excited to go out! With proper exercise each day(there are never enough walkers here unfortunately) and a little bit of lead training, i wouldn’t pull anymore.

I am desperate to love and be loved, I just wish someone would give me a chance to show them what a wonderful addition to their family I would be….

If you can offer Izzy, or any of our dogs, a place in your heart and your home, please call Kymm on 07886 620009 or email southeastdogrescue@hotmail.com Izzy will need to live with another dog for company and a playmate and can live with children aged 6 plus. Izzy can be tested with cats if needed.

We can’t think of a better start to the year than for Izzy to find the forever home she has been patiently waiting for. Please make 2012 the year that Izzy’s future changes for the better…..
