Labrador Cross
Fudge – 2 year old male Labrador Cross
Homing requirements: Fudge needs a family who can engender confidence in him and offer him time and stability for the rest of his life. He needs a secure garden and an active lifestyle.

His Story: Fudge was homed as a puppy; 2 years on and his owners felt he was too bouncy for their 1 year old grandchild. Fudge was saved from going into an Irish pound by him coming over to us. He is neutered, vax’d and chipped and currently in boarding kennels near Gatwick.

Advert: Fudge is a sensitive dog who is great fun to be with. He is wary initially of other dogs and new people, just a little shy. He is nervous in the kennel environment and so needs to be in a home with comforts again. Note he has always had access to soft furnishings. He has good recall, walks well on the lead and loves travelling in the car.
Fudge is a chocolate brown Labrador cross. He is slight in frame, sensitive and sincere. He is used to being part of a family with regular walks, toys and fun. Sadly grandchildren took preference over his security, but we’re assuring him his next home will be all about him!

Sweep is a 2 yr old Labrador cross collie, he is turning into the most amazing boy and deserves a perfect home. He will be a very loyal dog and is looking for a quiet household but with someone who would enjoy teaching him all about the world.
He gets on great with all the other dogs so could live with another or on his own. He is castrated, vaccinated and in North Hertfordshire.
Skye – 2 year old female Labrador Cross
Please meet super Skye! Skye is a 2 year old Labrador cross who is the most striking and unusual grey / blue in colour. Skye came into rescue after her owner moved into flat where she was not allowed to take pets. Skye has been living with another dog for the last few months and was in a foster home in chelmsford, essex with 4 other dogs and a cat. She loves people and bonds strongly with her primary carer and now she wants to share her all of her love with a family of her own.

Here’s what’s skyes foster mum said about her – Skye is a beautiful girl with a very loving nature, she follows you everywhere around the house and off lead on walks checks back every few minutes without being called because she doesn’t want to lose you. She’s great with other dogs and loves cats but could scare a cat not used to dogs, she is interested in my rabbit but doesn’t try to get at her.
Skye did bark the first few times when I her left but stopped doing it once she realised I was coming home. Skye must be rehomed where there is already at least one resident dog in the home and where someone is home for a good percentage of the day. She could live with cats as long as the cats were used to a dog that sometimes barks at them, and wants to play with them. A cat who is wary of dogs wouldn’t cope with Skye’s harmless yet enthusiastic greetings!
Skye has not lived with young children but has been around young visiting children, whom she has been great with. She could live with children aged 8 plus.
Skye is a sweet and loving dog who really deserves a home of her own. If you can give Skye the second chance.

Please meet Hilarious Hope! Hope is a young labrador cross. Hope is quite possibly the sweetest, most loving and easy going girl that anyone could wish to meet! Hope came to us on the day she was due to be killed at a local pound – her only crime being a stray dog without a home – one of hundreds every week in the UK…

Upon leaving the pound Hope immediately moved in with myself, my three dogs, three cats and my four year old daughter. Hope immediately became one of the family and proved to be the most easy going girl you could find! She loves my dogs, snuggles up with my cats and spends her days waiting for my daughter to come home from school so they can play together on the trampoline!! She also travels well in the car. Hope has been perfectly clean in the house and has been fine to be left, without being destructive or noisy – she really is amazing!!

Hope loves everyone she meets, and she is walked everyday off lead with between four and ten dogs and she adores all dogs and people she meets. When i met Hope on death row at the pound – she had the saddest eyes i have ever seen. i had actually gone to collect four other dogs.. and she was the last dog left who was overdue on her 7 days that all strays must serve before either going to a rescue or being killed. I didnt have any room in my van for Hope… and couldnt stop thinking about her as i lay in bed that evening. I phoned the pound and went to collect her the next morning.. and how pleased i am that i did! Hope and her wonderful temperament has repaid me tenfold for that desicion.

Hope is approximately one year old and has been vaccinated and microchipped. She has just finished her season so will need to be neutered in 3 months time as part of her adoption agreement.. and the donation fee will reflect this. Hope must live with at least one other resident dog, and can live with a dog savvy cat (she would be too enthusiastically loving for a timid cat!) and she would love a home with children over 5 years – she may be too keen to shower her love on smaller children! She is great with our chickens, ducks and geese!
If you are looking for a loving and fantastic family dog who will give you years of happiness….look no further!

We have been looking for a home for Sir Benjamin Labrador Hound. Curator of the Glanrhyd Bone Emporium and his siblings. He was born 9th March last year so is only 12 months old he was born at a Riding Stables – he had a lovely life would spend his days in the yard meeting the riders and children that came for lessons and playing with his brothers and sisters – the evenings in the kitchen by the aga before retiring to the barn for sleep time… his life has come to an end unfortunately at the stables due to it having to close – their owner is heart broken but can only take 1 dog to the rented accommodation so has taken their mother she has promised to have her spayed.

Ben has been wonderfully looked after and is in fantastic condition – he is very well socialized with adults, children and other dogs big and small as well as horses. he is a very gentle affectionate dog and seem to have more of the lab character although he looks more hound he is not noisy like hounds can be- he seem to be clean in the house but will have to be reinforced as at bed time they would sleep in a barn.. With regards to exercise he has always been exercised in an enclosed yard/paddock so will need leading training and recall. He loves to play with other dogs but he is equally happy to chill once he has had his run – we would say he quite likes being lazy as long as he has had his exercise. All in all a beautiful gentle dog who will make a lovely pet – he is going to prefer a home where there are other dogs in it with a couple of lovely long walks a day and plenty of chill time on the sofa -
If you are interested please email theminnicans@dsl.pipex.com for our adoption questionnaire.

They are very happy, relaxed puppies who enjoy playing with other dogs and in human company. They are young enough to be introduced to cats. We are working on their house training but obviously this will need to be taken into consideration. They travel well in a car.
We are looking for homes where someone will be about for most of the day as they are still very young and we strongly recommend puppy raining/socialization classes to get the most out of these dogs.
These puppies will be vaccinated and wormed but will need to be neutered and micro-chipped when old enough as part of the adoption agreement and proof of this will need to be shown. They are being fostered in North London near J26 of M25. We are looking to re-home these dogs in or around this area or neighbouring counties as a home check will be done.
If you feel you could offer one of these lovely boys a loving forever home, please fill out an adoption form on www.leavalleydogrescue.co.uk

Barney – 20 week old male Labrador Cross
Barney is a typical puppy, he is lively bouncy loving and playful. He has lots of energy to spare so he needs a home where he will get plenty of exercise and playtime. He is brilliant with children and other dogs (as long as the other dogs love playing!) He has also lived with 3 cats which he shows no aggression to but he does want to play with them so barks and follows them around.
He is extremely quick to learn! He had not been taught “down” and within one assessment with him he was doing it brilliantly all thanks to treats. He has so much potential.
Barney is currently in the Burton area, but may be relocating to Derbyshire into a foster home whilst he looks for his forever home.
