Bobbi – 3 year old male Lurcher
Bobbi is a 3 year old neutered male Lurcher who needs rehoming because of a change in his owners’ circumstances. Bobbi is an extremely affectionate boy who loves his humans to bits and will be a charming companion! His new owners must be familiar with his breed as he is full of energy when out and about and needs to be kept under control. He is eager to learn and would benefit from further expert training. This handsome boy is very loyal and loving and he enjoys his cuddles.
He is gentle with children and could live with them if they are over 12 as he is a tall, lively boy. Bobbi could share the home of another dominant dog who would teach him some manners! He cannot live with cats or small furries. Bobbi will make a great pet to experienced Lurcher lovers with the time and space to give him the stable life he deserves.

In the time that this sweet girl has been with us Holly’s wonderful personality has emerged over time as she has got to know us all blossoming from the nervous stray into a beautiful girl. Holly is a fun-loving and alert home-seeker who mixes extremely well with other dogs but who isn’t averse to chasing cats. Holly is also house-trained and vaccinated.

Holly walks along with ears always at full mast acutely tuned in to all that is around her and you had better hold on if she spies wild life as she is a strong girl when her Lurcher instincts take over. However, all she wants to do is not to miss out on anything interesting as life wasn’t very stimulating before as she came to us as a stray. Holly is easy to handle, is gentle yet playful, manageable yet lively with a kind heart and soft temperament.

Holly enjoys her exercise regime at the shelter and gets along well with her fellow playmates and is happy to exercise with them or on her own plus she is also receptive to those new dogs that cross her path. It didn’t taken her long to recognise familiar faces and always displays a friendly greeting, as if to say “”What we up to today”? Positively beaming from ear to ear when she is retrieving balls and toys in our enclosed area off lead, even though Holly hasn’t quite mastered ‘fetch it’ just yet! Holly had a non-malignant cyst above her left eye which has now responded to treatment, but does not cause her concern nor require long term medical treatment just a little TLC.

Jude – 7 year old male Lurcher
Jude is approximately seven years old and is a Bull Lurcher. He came into our care from a stray pound in the North East. From arrival, he has been an absolute gentleman, he may look a big brute, but he is the most loving, soppy, good natured boy you could wish to meet. He is currently in foster with three other male dogs and behaves exceedingly well with them. He is housetrained and has been clean in the home since going into foster. He goes to sleep in his crate quite willingly by himself, and spends most of his time sleeping, he really is one of the most laid back dogs we have had.
He settles downstairs by himself overnight without problem, and can be left for short periods by himself. He has been fine with all other dogs when out and is also good with children, he’s quite happy to curl up on their knee! He has obviously been a working dog at some point and therefore is not cat or small friendly. We don’t think he’s had a brilliant past, he’s full of scars, his teeth are ground to next to nothing and raised voices and sudden movements literally leave him frozen to the spot, it is heartbreaking to see as he is such a loving, friendly chap.
Even though Jude is more Bully than Houndy and not what you would term an elegant looking hound, he is the most incredibly loving boy who just wants to be given a chance and have someone who will be a best friend to him. He would love somebody to give him the comfort and love he so deserves.

Jude is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and flead and wormed. He can be homed both locally and nationally dependent on a succesful homecheck.

These two handsome boys are at present in a foster home but they do really need a permanent home to settle down in. Bobby and Leo are about 7 years old and lived together with other dogs in a family who sadly had to part with them through no fault of the dogs. They are clean in the house and are obedient, also would be good with older children. They can be homed separately or together. If you would like to meet them or know more please do contact us.

Angrove – 7 year old female Lurcher
Angrove is an ex racer aged about 7 years who came to our care having been dumped outside the RSPCA near a very busy road. This boy is very loving and appreciative of all you do, he would love to have a new home. At present he lives with five other dogs so would be fine with another dog or as an only pet. We think he has been starved in the past so he is very food orientated. Please could you offer him the forever home he now needs.

Betsy – 2-3 year old female Lurcher
Betsy is a stunning White Lurcher girl. Approx 2-3 years old and very pretty. She is very loving and affectionate, enjoys her walks. She would be best suited to a home as an only dog, and with older children, and NO CATS, due to her breed. Can you give this stunning girl a home.
