Miniature Pinscher Cross

Billy

Meet Billy, he is a 6 1/2 year old castrated male Jack Russell cross Miniature Pinscher that was brought back to us in early June 2007, as his owner had died. Billy has had a tough life tooing and froing from Home to home. In October 2003, he lived with a family for 2 months but was returned for chasing people when on bicycles. Originally he arrived here in March 2003, as his owners where moving abroad.

Billy is a typical, lively Terrier with bags of character. He comes across as quite aggressive to new people but he is in fact a very scared and nervous little chap that will need to go through a process of getting to know but once he trusts you he is a different dog! He adores cuddles, and likes nothing more than a nice lap to lie on!

Saying that, he also enjoys his walks and walks better on a harness but tends to bark at bikes, skateboards, joggers etc so would benefit from further lead training but is fine with cars! However, he loves romping across the fields so is seeking quite an active home, as he is a very playful lad that loves his squeaky toys. He needs a secure garden, has been used to using a large cat flap, however, he would love someone that is at home part of the day.

He becomes protective once in a home environment so needs a slightly experienced owner but is a super little guy that will make a fabulous dog in the right hands, as he is very affectionate. Quite scared of loud noises Billy will need a quiet home and care will need to be taken on firework night. Billy just needs to find an owner with a little understanding, commitment and patience.

Good with some dogs but best to be homed as the only dog as he tends to get jealous. He tends to chase cats if they are passing through his garden, even though he has lived with one but would suit a family where any children are aged 16+.  Can you offer this energetic lad a new loving home?
