Ben is a 20 month old Patterdale Terrier boy who is back with us!Ben was a young lad when he came to us last year and initially had a number of issues, regarding his relationship with other dogs. He progressed very well with intensive training and spent many months “one to one”. He was eventually homed, but finds himself back with us and looking for a new home.

Ben is fantastic with children, he is friendly and loves people. His new owners need to be disciplined in carrying out the guidelines for him, otherwise he will never find the right home. Ben is best homed where there are no young children who may accidently leave a gate open!

Little Holly is an 8 year old Patterdate Terrier who sadly came into our care following the death of her owner. She is a little live wire who is very active and outgoing. Her favourite thing ever is fetch and she will bring the ball back…and drop it too! She is a bright little spark with a wonderful temperament. She has been no trouble in kennels, where she is often clean overnight, will happily let you pick her up and enjoys a fuss. Holly would suit an active home where any children are over 6 years old, as long as she will get plenty of exercise and attention Holly will be a happy girl.

She would be best suited as an only dog due to being attacked in the past which has left her wary, she cannot live with cats. Overall Holly is a very friendly girl but is stressed to find herself in kennels, can you give her the loving and secure home she deserves? Holly is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

This cheeky little chap is Curly. Looking for a home that understands the breed, Curly is a typical Patterdale who loves the outside world. Great with other dogs (living with 14 in a house), loves the 6 cats he mingles with, likes children, as he is living with a 4 year old, and 8 year old. He has seen chickens on a daily basis, and horses too!

This chap was handed into rescue along with his brother (now re-homed), by their originalfamily whohad owned them both from 6 weeks old. The family had never really thought through, the reality of owning two puppies from the same litter. Especially these puppies, as they surely kept their owners busy. He has been crate trained, and toilet trained 90%, but if given the option, will go outside. this boy is vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and ready to go. A genuine nice character, that is just waiting to find a home of his own, and he deserves that much bless him.

If you have researched the breed, and have the time to devote to a new young companion, please contact us as necessary.

Please meet two very lovely, tiny Paterdale Terriers. They are 8 1/2 weeks old and one boy and one girl. Both puppies and full of life and love tumbling around and playing together. The get on well with other dogs and are young enough to be introduced with cats. These puppies travel well in a car.

We are looking for homes where someone will be around for most of the day as they are so young and also who are experienced dogs owners or know about the Paterdale breed. Although these puppies look so sweet they know their own mind already and are very typical of their breed and very Terrier in character.

Both puppies are wormed and vaccinated but part of the adoption agreement will be for them to be neutered and micro-chipped when old enough and proof of this will need to be sent.

These puppies are being fostered in North London near J26 of M25.

If you are interested in giving one of these lovely puppies their forever home please fill out an adoption form on www.leavalleydogrescue.co.uk in the first instance or contact Yasmina on 07815547667.

Sammy is an attractive 2 year old Patterdale Terrier, wire-haired black with a white flash on her chest. She needs a family around her, loving her Pattie gifts. She is still very young and her loving nature drives her forwards to overcome her nerves. She will settle and learn to get a handle on her terrier energy and instincts as she matures. Needs friendships and an understanding family to love her through her mishaps and help her to ‘grow into her skin’. This is Sammy in her hour of need.

Sammy could live as a second dog or as an only dog. Main criteria is that the family attends training classes to support her skill acquisition. Sammy needs experience behind her to help her settle on walks and meet and greet. She has always been on lead outside. Could live with dog savvy children if terrier experienced i.e forgiving of her terrier traits.

Sammy was homed as a pup in with another dog (unknown breed) and 2 children under 4 years old. Sammy arrived in another rescue without the owners even knowing her breed. Her owners were being evicted so had to give up their dogs. Sammy is fully vac’d, spayed and chipped. Now in boarding kennels in Gatwick.

Sammy has done very well, despite growing up within a young family who managed her, without understanding and guiding her terrier temperament. The bathroom was used when they were out and to stop her nervous barking when visitors came, which apparently worked! She is not fully housetrained. She was apparently walked but isn’t settled outside. She barks when she meets new people as she is scared, but soon settles and accepts, displaying attempts to befriend, like pushing her cheek on to your hand. Sammy’s energy can get whipped up and the worst she has done is catch at a stranger’s trousers. She was fine with ‘her children’. Her play with the other dog was lively and intense apparently. Sammy soon befriends dogs also.

“Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a ‘forever’ home is found”.

Lottie is an absolutely gorgeous 2 year old Patterdale Terrier. She is very pretty with the most stunning hazel eyes and curly coat. She has recently attacked a goat on the small holding she lived on and needed to be moved. On her very first walk with us, she walked well on the lead, did not bat an eyelid at any other dog, and was kissing and cuddling up with all people she could! What a sweet heart. She is quite a dominant dog but has lived with a group of terriers with minimal issues. She can also live with older children. She has been spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped.

We will be looking for an experienced terrier home for her, preferably Patterdale knowledge. The home will need to be away from any livestock and not have access to cats or small furries.

Lottie is currently in South Wales but we home across the UK.

Homing Requirements: Pepsi needs an experienced terrier home who accepts he needs extender lead control in open spaces due to his chase drive plus shortlead gentle intros with other dogs until he achieves trust. Also a terrier-proof garden with 6′ panel fencing and lockable side gates. Awareness and command around front door usage and lower windows secured all times. Terrier owners understand this, when a terrier has keen chase drive with anything that moves!

His Story: Pepsi was bought as the runt of the litter together with his brother to join the family’s Labrador. Led the great life out on the moors, but change of circumstance has bought them all into a tight knit community where he has to be kept in a run during business hours. Furthermore because he can/will climb over he is tied up on a rope. He can easily get defensive with new dogs, no damage but now not the flavour of the month in the village. Hasn’t coped with sheep, cats, other dogs and cars as wants to chase them all.

Advert: Pepsi was aptly named as he is full of fizz and excitement with those keen bright eyes ready to run, chase and gleefully will get caught up in the moment! Dearly loved and so successful in his former lifestyle, living within his pack, known doggie friends and without care for the concerns of livestock or busy roads! Now circumstance have changed and his chase drive is causing him and his family concerns. Pepsi is neutered, vax’d and chipped.

Pepsi is bright as a button and will offer his family entertainment and joy. He needs to be shielded from himself, in the sense of having awareness behind him in his intros with dogs and support when street walking. He is finding it hard to come to terms with losing his pack and we’re hoping Father Christmas will favour his wishes.
