Rusty – 14 month old male Boxer cross Ridgeback
Rusty is a boxer cross ridgeback boy who has come to NRBR due to a change in his owners working pattern. He is 14 months old and a nice boy who has been use to living with children he has also lived with a female. He is a handsome chap. He can be selective in which males he likes but is fine with females. He is great with children of all ages. Rusty is currently in Rotherham.
Mia – 4 year old female Rhodesian Ridgeback Cross
Homing Requirements: Ideally Mia would like to be homed with her partner Chico. The family should be able to provide for 2 dogs financially ref insurance and general welfare. They need a secure garden. Mia will be spayed by Rescue Remedies in March.
Her Story: Mia joined Chico when she was a puppy. Her mother was a South African Ridgeback and her father was crossbreed. Mia and Chico’s owners are moving to a flat and cannot find a place which accepts 2 dogs (any dog) and are broken hearted to give up their dogs. Mia and Chico come to us on the 3rd Feb into boarding kennels.
Advert: Mia has grown up with Chico and they have always been harmonious. They are housetrained, know “Sit, lie down, bed, toilet, dinner & naughty! Mia is settled now as a 4 year old dog and a pleasure to own. Generally good with dogs, but likes to run with dogs. She is a little self protective being a unspayed bitch; if she growls, her owner shouts NO. As soon as she knows she’s not under any threat she’s fine. Chico is happy with dogs generally and loves to play ball; he no longer steals other’s footballs! Mia isn’t happy in transit, whilst Chico loves the car.
Mia is a large dog now very laid back and easy to manage at home. Chico is older now and just a lovely happy friendly boy who adores children and people in general. Mia and Chico are used to living with very young grandchildren 1-8 years old and would love to live with young children. How wonderful to home a ready made pair of brilliant dogs …the chance is yours!

Meet Boris a 2/3 yr old Ridgeback Cross. After suffering a leg injury he has spent some time in foster care with his leg in a cast, but is now ready for homing. A large lively dog that needs a kind but firm owner to give him guidance and direction. He is good with people, children and other dogs, but does lack manners and socialisation skills. Boris is looking for a home where he can continue his training that has already been started and would be better suited to a home with children over the age of 12 due to his boisterous nature. He needs a home where people are about most of the time who would ideally leave him for no more than 2/3 hours.

Lola – 3-5 year old female Rhodesian Ridgeback Cross
Lola 3-5 yr old Ridgeback cross. Lola came into our after her owner was no longer able to care for her and the rescue she originally came from would not take her back into their care.
Lola is a sweet, quiet girl who is feeling a bit overwhelmed in the kennels , she is a little shy when first coming out for a walk but once in the woods she comes out of her shell and starts to relax. She is a large girl and can be quite strong on her lead but this is aided with the use of a harness.
Lola is good with children and other dogs but she cannot live with birds! She is fine to be handled and likes a gentle fuss, despite her size she is a softie at heart. Lola now needs a forever loving home where she can finally lay her hat and call home.

Ash – 7 month old male Rhodesian Ridgeback cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier
This is Ash he is 7 months male Ridgeback cross Staffie of a kindly temperament. He would live with a larger dog than himself preferably a neutered female. He will most likely reach the size of a small Labrador when fully grown. He has know cats in a foster home some months ago, and would probably settle to a dog savvy cat. He will, as part of the contract, have to attend dog school. He is very calm indoors and outdoors. He is not all that confident on first meeting a strange dog but after a minute or two wants to play. He can be left indoors for short periods and does not chew or soil at all. Dog school will be so good for him. A home with some knowledge of either one of this dog’s breed mixture would be ideal. Ben – 3 1/2 year old male Rhodesian Ridgeback cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Ben is a 3 ½ year old Rhodesian Ridgeback cross Staffi that is looking for a home that wants a big bundle of fun! He loves nothing more than to learn new things and with the help of treats he learns quickly, clicker training is recommended! Ben gets on well with other dogs; however he doesn’t like to share his food or toys, so he is looking for a home where he can be the only dog. This means that new owners must have doggy friends for him to play with. Ben must be taught recall ASAP so that he can be let off the lead and burn off his energy.
Ben is looking for a home that has had dogs before as he can be a handful in the wrong home. He is ok to be left for a few hours at a time. New owners must be energetic as Ben has huge amounts of energy! He was housetrained in his previous home so hopefully he will remember once home again! He can live with children 14 and upwards.

Max is 9 months old and is a German Shepherd cross Ridgeback. He has come into the rescue as an unclaimed stray, after giving the dog warden the run around for a couple of weeks, preferring to fend for himself than be caught.
Max is a big dog already and he still has some growing to do, we would prefer him to go to a home with someone who has large breed experience and a willingness to work on his training. He will go to his new home neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
