Rottweiler Cross

Itsi – 1-2 year old female Rottweiler Cross

Itsi is a 1-2 year old female Rottweiler Cross who is looking for a new home. She is a little nervy at the moment but once out for a walk she settles down. She does enjoy a good tummy rub and lots of fuss! Her ideal home is somewhere where she can settle in at her own pace and with lots of love and walks.

Bertha – 3-4 year old female Rottweiler cross German Shepherd

Bertha is a 3-4 years old Rottweiler cross probably with a German Shepherd who was picked up as a stray. She is about 30-35 kilos, so not really big for a bitch of this type. She is a little on the lean side but is not underweight. She is a very people friendly endearing dog who loves to be cuddled and stroked and will constantly follow you all around the house for this attention, which is nice. Bertha is on the small size for a Rottweiler cross but is still a fairly powerful dog who has typical Rottweiler characteristics including an intelligent, alert and confident manner. She is obedient, willing to please and very easy to control as she is totally submissive to all members of the family. She has been very quickly accepted by the foster families big mastiff dog and they have now become become best of mates.

Bertha is fully house trained and has had no accidents in the house at all. She lets you know when she needs to go outside to do her business by sitting by the door and gently crying. Bertha happily sleeps all night downstairs in her basket and doesn’t get up in the morning until we come down stairs. She is a delight to take out for walks as she does not pull on the lead and when off the lead in local fields her recall is excellent. She has been friendly with all dogs she has met on her walks, although at times she can be a little indifferent preferring her own company whilst she explores her new surroundings. Her play, although non aggressive, can at times be noisy and growly. She is very approachable when eating and is not food aggressive in anyway. Bertha is not destructive or a barker when left alone for a few hours in the house and she is also a good traveller making no fuss when in the back of our estate car. Bertha is a very friendly keen to please type dog who is a lovely character and great company. She would suit an active family with or without another friendly dog, but unfortunately without small children as they could easily be accidentaly knocked over by her. Bertha is a joy to have in our home.

Jude – 18 month old male Rottweiler cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Jude is an 18 month old intact male Rottweiler cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier.  He is a little taller than a Staffordshire Bull Terrier but considerably shorter and smaller framed than a Rottweiler – a very handsome boy!

He loves his walks and is great with people. Other dogs can over-excite him and he gets very bored in his kennel. We would suggest an new home with someone who has owned either of these two breeds previously.

Please contact his foster mum Katie on 020 8599 4315 and 07956 454272.

Maxx – 2 year old male German Shepherd Dog cross Rottweiler

Maxx is a neutered male German Shepherd cross Rottweiler who is approximately 2 years old. He has come to us via a rescue in Spain on his own pet passport. He was found sleeping on the streets of Spain when a British volunteer working out there rescued him after the locals tried to poison him and looked after him whilst waiting for his pet passport to come through.

We are hoping to find him his perfect home in the UK. Maxx is a lovely, friendly boy who is nervous until you gain his trust and is wary of men and heavy traffic. We like to rehome him in a rural area as he is nervous of heavy traffic. He loves the company of other dogs and could live with either sex and is great with cats too. He could live with children aged 10 plus.

Can you share your home with Maxx?

Pepsi – 4 year old female Basset Hound cross Rottweiler

Pepsi is a lovely 4-year-old female Basset Hound cross Rottweiler. She is long, like a Basset, and has the Queen Anne legs, but she is a Rottie in colour. Pepsi is house-trained and has the basic commands like sit, stay and down. She loves to play with her toys with you. Pepsi is currently in kennels and would really benefit from being fostered while she waits for her forever home. Can you give Pepsi a foster home or a forever home?

Pepsi is a bouncy girl and quite strong, so we think older children would be better with her. She will be better being an only dog and with no cats. Pepsi is very food motivated so further training should be quite easy and this will make Pepsi a good companion.

Zac – 1 year old male Rottweiler Cross

Zac is a 1 year old Rottweiler Cross who was brought into us as he doesn’t like cats. Zac is great with children and other dogs and is a really friendly, likely lad.

He’s quite slender for a Rottie which maybe due to his young age or perhaps what he is crossed with so he may possibly fill out with time. A really lovely, affectionate boy who will make someone a wonderful pet.

Abi – 3 year old female Rottweiler Cross

Abi is a lovely 3 year old Rottweiller Cross – with what we’re not sure! Her top half is definitely Rottie but her legs look Spaniel like. An unusual combination but this makes for lovely markings and Abi has a wonderful temperament to go with her looks. We are sure she will make an excellent addition to any family.

Womble – 7 year old male German Shepherd cross Rottweiler

This big handsome boy is Womble, he’s a 7 year old boy and thought to be a German Shepherd and Rottweiler cross. He almost didn’t have a Christmas this year, he was in an overcrowded pound and at risk of being put to sleep. Fortunately, an Oldies Club fosterer came forward to help him and we managed to get him to his new foster home in Preston, Lancashire, just in time for Christmas. As you can see from his photos it didn’t take him long to settle in and he made the most of the Christmas festivities!

Womble is a big cuddly boy and his favourite pastimes are eating, snoozing and going for walks. He’s currently about 10kg overweight so he’s trying to do a little less of the eating and a bit more of the walking. He’d be happy in a fairly active home, although he’s not exactly super fast at the moment – the most he’s managed is a trot and that was when he saw a squirrel! This is probably due to him being overweight, so he’s going to need someone who can continue to work on his diet. He’s generally good on the lead, but can be strong if something takes his interest. He has good recall, but seems to respond better to men than women.

Womble is very good with cats and other dogs, but he would prefer quieter companions for his housemates. He’s a really friendly and cheeky boy and he loves being with people and wouldn’t mind living with older children (aged 7 years+). It would be great if he could find a home with someone who is around most of the day, although he doesn’t object to being left for a few hours at a time.

Womble is neutered, microchipped and flea and worm treated and his vaccinations have been started. He has a fatty lump on his back leg which is due to be removed before he’s rehomed.

*Update for Womble*

Womble has lost 3.5kg and is feeling brand new! He loves to go out for walks and even enjoy a little run when he’s let off the lead. He has been to the groomers recently too and his foster mum says he behaved like a perfect gent. Womble has some tricks. He can “speak” and do a “high five” so his foster mum thinks he is a very intelligent lad. She says he has the brains of a German Shepherd and the loyalty of a Rottie.
