Coco - 11 month old female German Shepherd cross Rottweiler
Coco is an 11 month old female German Shepherd cross Rottweiler which is a famed cross and its the strength on which we rescued her as an emergency and have no regrets as she is fabulous. As a tiny puppy she grew up with 4 children aged toddler upwards to 9 years old. She was fantastic but they didn’t have time for her..likewise the friends that took her on in a first floor flat.
There she was the victim of domestic violence in her second and last home but although it must have been difficult for her to live through; it wasn’t directed at her. She became abandoned in the ‘no-go flat’ with people frightened to go in to feed her as she was a ‘big dog’ a big bowl of food parked under her nose won her over in an instance and she was in the back of the car licking her rescuer.
Coco has just been spayed and is micro-chipped. She needs basic training, she definitely needs big dog experienced people as she can refuse to do what isn’t appealing to her at the moment, its to get in the car. She is also big 26″ to the shoulder and we think she is more or less adult size. She is exceptional with dogs of all ages and sizes at this age her only fault is she propositions to play, by a large paw on their shoulder but will take ‘no’ for an answer..well…she has to being fostered with 9 other dogs!
Coco is LUVVLY! Beautiful eyes to match her face. The German Shepherd is the first impression..but knowing the Rottweiler parent you see it in her stature; paws, head and the look she gives you with her wonderful eyes.

Rocky is a 3 year old male German Shepherd cross Rottweiler who is a real sweetie and looking for a new home after his parents split up and the lady of the house did not have enough time for him and found him too much to exercise etc. She said he just kept bringing his toys into the house wanting someone to play.
He has not had the fun that he should have in his early years and desperately needs someone to love him and give him a lot of TLC and some serious training.
He is looking for an adult only household as he has never lived with children, he does not appear to be dog aggressive but careful introductions at the kennel first would be a must and he has not lived with cats so we cannot say how Rocky and a cat would get along! Please help Rocky asap as the kennel enviroment is not good for him and causes him a lot of stress making him poorly. Can you offer him a loving new home?

Buster is a 7 year old male German Shepherd cross Rottweiler, who has been in kennels a very long time since his owner died and is desperate to be in a home again. He is a lovely boy but does not like his head pulled around. His favourite treat was always a Ham sandwich.
He cannot be homed with children or other animals but will make a loving companion for the right person/people. Please, please help Buster and give him some love, comfort and fun in his latter years.

Lovely Buster (ref 95d) is a 2 year old very mild-mannered black and tan male dog who is a cross between a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and a Rottweiler. He was brought to Derby RSPCA Centre by an RSPCA Inspector.
He is a very well-behaved dog who enjoys keeping company with people and is very friendly and relaxed.
He is also an intelligent dog who knows at least 5 commands and could easily learn more. He would probably enjoy being given more training, because he is a very attentive dog who seems to understand what you want him to do.
He walks very well on the lead and obediently waits at the kerb before crossing the road. Buster likes to play, both with toys and with people, and is a very calm and unflappable dog. He can even seem rather aloof at times, being almost the complete opposite of a bull in a china shop, but is nevertheless a very warm and lovable character who likes to socialise with the human race.
Buster would be suitable to live in an active household where any children were aged 10+ and kind and sensible. He doesn’t enjoy being pulled about, grabbed at and treated like a toy, so any young people in the household would need to behave respectfully towards him and love him for the quiet, thoughtful and sensible dog he is. He does however adore having his back scratched.
He would need to be the only pet in the household, because like most dogs he would chase cats and other small furry creatures. He also doesn’t enjoy the company of other dogs at all.
Buster is an extremely sound chap who needs a home for life with dog lovers who can give him lots of walks and outdoor fun along with games that let him use his clever old brain. He really is a superb and very lovable dog who will make an excellent companion, best friend and key family member for anyone who can give him all the love, care and exercise he deserves.

Hello everyone, my name is Noble and I am a 2 year old male Rottweiler cross. As my name suggests, I am a noble fellow, very calm and composed. I am highly intelligent and have a splendid learning capacity. I am not the giddy sort and when allowed to run freely off lead I focus solely on you and prefer to be by your side. I am very loyal and faithful and respond quickly to commands (it also helps that I like my treats and biscuits!).

Toby - 2 1/2 year old male Rottweiler cross German Shepherd
Toby is a Rottweiler cross German Shepherd aged approximately 2 1/2 years old. He landed himself in the pound and lucky for him we have given him a second chance. we do not have any previous history for Toby, he is looking for a home on his own with out dogs or cats and would be best suited in a home with older children.
He is a very boisterous dog and will need an owner that can give him lots of exercise and mental stimulation. We would like him to go to an owner that has had Rottweilers or German Shepherds before, he will also need to carry on with his training. Toby is a very large dog but also very handsome and loves people.

Sasha is a 7 year old neutered female Rottweiler cross. She does not get on with children or cats but does get on with some male dogs. Sasha is very loving but can get aggressive around food. Sasha was initially admitted to the sanctuary in 2004 as a stray so not much is known about her history but we do know she is good on a lead, house-trained and is not destructive.
Conan
Conan is a neutered male German Shepherd/Rottweiler cross Dobermann who is approxmiately 6 years old. He is not good around younger children as he does tend to jump up and he has bitten a child when he was fostered out in 2003.
Despite sometimes being destructive and insecure, Conan is very affectionate and does love his tummy tickled! He gets on with most other dogs but not cats and he does occasionally bark at the cockerels here. He can jump VERY high and has very poor recall - he thinks it’s all a big game and will just run faster if you chase him!
