Bella – 10 month old female Rottweiler

Bella is a 10 month old Rottweiler. She has not had the best of starts and has come in to our care as she was not getting the attention she deserved. She was living in a flat and having to toilet in the flat because her owner was on a tag so couldn’t go out during the night! She went into a foster home for a week before coming down south to us.

To start with she was nervous of new things especially men. After 24 hours or so she was good with the people in the house and the two dogs already there. She is gaining more and more confidence day by day and is a lovely sweet girl once she knows me. I have only spent two short periods up the kennels with her and I am like her new best mate. It just takes a little time and a ball game!

She is fully vaccinated, docked (somehow!) and micro-chipped now. Bella needs a home with no children as she would like a quieter home. Ideally she would live with another large breed male and an experienced home that will carry on her training and socialisation!

Champ – 7 year old male Rottweiler

Champ is a very very big Rottie boy, and is 7 years old. Champ was rehomed by us 3 years ago, to a lovely family, but due to personal family circumstances, he has had to come back to us. I cannnot say enough good things about this big lad, he is good with children, and lived with a little jrt bitch with no problems. He is easy to walk, but will pull if he see’s another dog, so you will need to be strong to handle him, as he is a very big lad. He can be protective when meeting other dogs, when he is on a lead, but is good with other dog’s when he is off lead. We are looking for a home that has experience with this breed, or with large breed experience.

Zambezie – 2 year old male Rottweiler

Zambezie was born here at the rescue in the spring time of 2009 with a fantastic temperement. Zambezie used to live with (rotti bitch) so may live with another bitch. He also lived with cats, however his owner says he chases them. Love this little fella too. He’s is just so happy – his tail is in in danger of falling off when it goes ten to the dozen. Really can’t understand why he hasn’t found a new home yet, he’s lovely to take out and so loveable, a little fusspot with a fab temperment.

Alphie – 3 year old male Rottweiler

Alphie is a male Rotti (or cross) of three years. He is very easy, well behaved and settles to sleep indoors, he will give up his food and bones, he will live happily with another dog after a trial run. He travels well in the car. Is presently with a terrier in foster and previously lived with other dogs of all sorts. He is a little underweight for his age and build. He has been pushed from pillar to post by the sounds of it and is amazingly biddable.

He will quickly bond with a new owner and desires only to please and be accepted. He is very well trained and will STAY SIT COME on command. Outdoors he is curious about other dogs and will approach and have a good sniff, manners could be helped a little here, but return when called.

In foster he hardly bothered with a settling in period and acts as if he has always been there although it has been just over a week. Alphie will make a very good companion dog for the right home. He has been with a 7 month baby and takes it all in his stride, so grandparents home would suit. However a settled home with lots of love and affection for Alphie will be required, older children would be another option.

Please only get in touch if ready, now, to re home a dog . And if you have sufficient resources to love and care for Alphie for the rest of his life. No more Hobo life for Alphie. He may be seen in Brentwood.

She gets on really well with her canine kennel mate Champ and the two youngesters love playing. Florence is very gentle and will be a great companion. I had the pleasure recently of being able to take Champ and Florence for a walk, these two are such happy youngsters and loved going for a walk, Florence was a little timid but is such a sweet gentle girl. She appears to gain confidence from her canine buddie Champ and the two loved playing in snow.

Dolly – 4-6 year old female Rottweiler

Dolly is quite a chunky girl, she knows some commands and is very responsive to her handler. She loved being on a long lead in the woods and wants to run around. Although she soon comes back to you when asked. So I think she will loose those extra pounds in reasonalby active home. She appears to have not had much socialisation around other dogs and can become quite strong, although I think in the right hands, as she is food orientated this will soon be overcome. When taking treats she is very gentle. She can be touched all over, ears, mouth, paws and loves a belly rub. A home with out other dogs is recommended and a home with large breed experience.
