Saluki

Prince – 3 year old male Saluki

Hi, I’m Prince and I’m a 3 year old male Saluki. I am a very affectionate boy with a gentle nature. I was brought into Lincoln Farm as a stray in very bad condition. I had a wound on my left ear which was so infected half of my ear had to be removed, but I’ve been told this hasn’t spoilt my good looks! I am able to live with children and other dogs but unfortunately I can’t be trusted with cats or other small furry mammals.

Kai and Sam – 18 month old male Salukis

Sam (black and cream) and Kai (cream grizzle) are 18 months old litter brother Salukis. These two boys recently came into our care via another rescue sadly due to a relationship breakdown.

They are lovely playful boys who thus far seem fine with other dogs however we would prefer to find them a home together as a pair without other dogs already in residence. They have not yet been cat tested this will be done shortly. Sam and Kai get on extremely well and are currently kennelled together. It does need noting though that they need feeding separately as they get quite grumpy with each other if one tries to steal the others food. The owners said they hadn’t previously had a problem with this though so it may be the smaller room setting they are in at the moment. Both boys are housetrained, good to be left in each others company and travel fine.

Please note: Although Salukis are very pretty elegant looking dogs they are not always the easiest. Salukis can be renowned for being quite aloof and some of the males can be quite dominant. These boys have not been let off the lead and its imperative that any family offering them a home understands that they are not the sort of dogs you can let off reliably. Salukis are able to turn a very deaf ear and are fast paced hunting dogs renowned for their stamina and ability to cover miles without stopping very quickly.

Sam and Kai are vaccinated, kc vaccinated, treated for parasites, microchipped and neutered. They are currently in kennels in Staffordshire.
