Tia – 15 week old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Labrador
Little Tia is a very sweet 15 week old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Labrador who is a playful puppy who has sadly been passed around far too much in her short life. She is currently in foster in Birkenhead and is looking for a fun and active home with someone who is around for most of the day as she can become anxious when left alone. Tia is very playful, her toileting is a work in progress, she is a total lapdog who has good recall and loves football. She can be a little mouthy due to her age so a home with children over 5 years is recommended. She is none reactive with cats and is sharing her foster home with another dog.

Rico – 6 month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross
Rico is a 6 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross boy who is looking for a new home and at the Chesterfield RSPCA branch. He was taken to the RSPCA because the lady took him in to save him from being dumped or landing up in a bad home and came to us for help. Rico has been micro-chipped, castrated, wormed, flead and vaccinated.

Rico is a gorgeous and very friendly boy, he is just a typical pup in all respects! He can be rehomed to most households, he is quite a big dog. When we struggle for space we use Chesterfield RSPCA’s centre where we pay their board and veterinary fees and that is why Rico is with them and not with us. Rico shares a run during the day with Boston who is also featured on our website, they are great together, at least they have each other for company to pass the long days in kennels!
Rico is a young dog who is very friendly and likes to be around people. He is strong and can be boisterous and sometimes jumps up. He needs an active owner who can handle him and also give him the time and exercise he needs. Rico would also benefit from some basic training to help with his obedience and give him something to focus on. Rico is very good with dogs and mixes well. We have placed him with older children because his previous owner said he could be boisterous around children (but friendly). We find he walks much better on a harness. We are looking for a cat free home. Rico is only young and has lots to learn, he is fun to have around and will make a fantastic companion once settled in his new home
All existing pets ideally should be neutered and vaccinated. A puppy really is for life and very demanding; you cannot work full time and raise a puppy. They teeth for many months which mean they need to chew and need copious amounts of exercise; attention and kind reward based training.
You must be 100% certain a puppy is right for you as they can be hard work! We strongly advise anyone getting a puppy to attend puppy classes through your vet/local dog club which are inexpensive; this will help socialise and train not only the puppy but the owner too!

Joey is toilet trained, travels very well and sleeps throught the night, he loves cuddles and is a bright boy who loves his food and would do well at reward based training.

Pal – 3 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross
Homing requirements: Pal needs stability, security and sanctity. He is well mannered but would benefit from further training. Secure garden and a family with time for him. Could live with another dog or cat.
His Story: Pal was found stray and unclaimed in East London. Now neutered, vax’d and in boarding kennels near Farnham.
Pal Freedom after weeks of imprisonment!
Advert: Pal is what we call a ‘Rescuer’s dog’, a dog who the rescuers rave about in terms of vibe, temperament and demeanour. Pal really is a pal to everyone he meets. He can get excited but easily calms. Greets other dogs, wagging his tail, he is really playful too and you know he just wants to be off the lead, running around. Told off by another dog Pal shrinks back to say “Sorry! Won’t happen again”! Meets horses, sheep and goats well too. He is a quick learner and knows sit and paw. He is also very gentle with taking treats. He could be a great agility dog, as he loves to run and would be at his best in a home which challenged him mentally too.
Pal is the modern day ‘Mongrel’ a blend of all the best! He is a medium sized dog with fawn and gold brindle coat which is like cotton velvet to touch. Pal could live with another dog if the fit was right, but equally he would love to have all the attention to himself as an only dog and have visiting dogs. He seeks assurance and approval from his handlers which is so endearing.
Pal meets Buzz (we are talking about Buzz!)
Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a ‘forever’ home is found.

Betty is a 2 year old Staffie x Boxer who has recently been returned to rescue due to circumstances beyond her owners control. Betty is an exceptionally lovely natured dog who would live well with another neutered male and is a very sociable girl whilst out on her walks. She loves children, but can be over-excited with them so she would be best placed with older teenage children or an adult household. Her main fault with small children is that she becomes so excitable through her love for them that she forgets her manners and knocks them over. Betty is clean in the home and is not destructive when left. Betty is fine with horses and is socialised daily with them.
Betty cannot live with cats. She needs an owner who is not shy of walking as she loves her runs and someone who can commit to a young dog who will exel with extra training. Betty is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and defleaed.
