Terrier Cross

Chester – 8 month old male Terrier Cross

Chester is a 8 month old border terrier cross male. Chester came in to the rescue as a un-claimed stray, he is a high energy boy who likes to be on the go all day, he is good with children, however we would only recommend him to go with children over the age of 10 years, fantastic with cats, good in the house, good on and off the lead, can be left for up to 4 hours, brilliant with all the large animals on the forest. Chesters bad points are, he is not good with small animals and will bark in the car while your driving, however he is slowly getting better with this with the aid of a water squirter!!

Chester is great with dogs who are bigger than him, but he will have a pop at male dogs his own size ( he has never physically hurt another dog but he does swear at them!), as soon as he has realised they are not going to hurt him he wants to play and is fine, we are not sure if Chester has been attacked by another small dog or if it is just lack of socialization with other dogs his own size, we have been working on this daily with him and he is improving daily.

Chester needs a home that is active, he is quick to learn and very toy driven, so agility or fly ball would be great for this chap, Chester is fully vaccinated, micro chipped and castrated.

Tipsy – 8 year old male Collie cross Terrier

Homing Requirements: Tipsy needs a home with at least one other dog. She has successfully lived with cats. She needs to slowly drop more weight, adopting an active routine.

Video: Tipsy – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7LJQbPd1CQ

Her Story: Tipsy was seen wandering for several days before anyone thought to see if she was stray. Full of fleas, sore ears and very overweight. She did her time at the pound. When she was given a Put To Sleep date, her finder approached us to ask if we would take and came back to foster her in with another dog. She was homed as an only dog with a cat and accepted another bitch dog. Her owner feels she loves everyone but her and wants Tipsy to be happier. She is fostering Tipsy until she is rehomed.

Advert: Tipsy is a pretty small Collie cross. She mixes well with children, dogs and cats. She is ‘shy’ and gently forms her bonds but is happier to sit in her bed or watch out the window. She potters around the garden and trots along on her walks off lead but you need to keep an eye on her in case she wanders off. She would love the company of another dog, enjoys her food and bones. She travels well in the car and can be left without event so would suit part-time worker.

Video: Tipsy Love – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EyVbM3PdO4

Tipsy is around 8 years old. She is overweight but much better than when first found stray over a year ago, having lost 6 kilos. She is fully vax’d, wormed etc. Delightful Tipsy who easily plays a background role but has affection in her own way especially during activities … she loves to offer her belly for rubs. Sweetheart!

Teddy – 2-3 year old male Terrier cross Dachshund

Teddy is a 2-3 year old male Terrier cross Dachshund seeking his forever home due to a family allergy. The family are devastated to have to part with him and he will remain his home in West Sussex until a new home is found for him. Teddy is intelligent, loving, loyal, cuddly and a real character, with a fun loving and happy disposition. He always tries to please. He makes a very good companion and lap dog. He also likes caravanning holidays!

Teddy has lived as an only dog so this would probably suit him best although he is ok with other dogs when out and about. Teddy would like a home without cats. He needs an active family who are able to give him plenty of attention and cuddles and we want the best forever home possible for him as he so deserves it. He also would like a reasonably sized garden to run around in. He would suit an active family with children from 7 onwards and would make a good companion for older children. He loves lots of attention and cuddles. He would also suit a newly retired couple with previous dog experience. He is used to having people home most of the day but can be left for up to 4 hours.

Teddy is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with worming and defleaing treatments.
