Unknown Cross Large Size
Marley – 1 year old male Cross-Breed
Marley is a 1 year old male Cross-Breed with some hound and mastiff in him. Marley came to the centre as a stray so unfortunately we have no previous history if he has lived in a home or not. Marley would be best suited as an only dog although we would consider homing him with another dog, providing the home has sufficient experience with adolescent dogs.
He is suitable to live with “hands on” confident children aged 14 years and over who are used to handling dogs and are willing to participate in his training. Marley is super affectionate & loves a good back scratch. He will need to attend training classes on a regular basis as he needs to learn how to control his excitement with both dogs & people. He knows most basic commands but sometimes chooses to forget them just to test his handler!!

Poppy is a female white and black 7 year old Cross-Breed. She has been spayed and will be vaccinated and microchipped prior to rehoming. She is good with other dogs, children and cats. Poppy has come in to us as her owner was moving into rented accomodation and was unable to take Poppy with her. Poppy is a very friendly loving dog. She is good on a lead and loves to get out and play. Poppy will make a lovely family dog.
Rooney – 3 year old male Cross-Breed
Rooney is a 3 year old Cross-Breed. Rooney has been waiting so long. The girls just don’t understand why he’s overlooked. He is neutered, vaccinated, has his Pet Passport. Rooney is big, handsome, hunky boy but his gentle, loving and calm nature belie his size. He’s fab with people and dogs and just craves one-on-one attention away from the shelter, where he’s been for far too long Rooney will repay your love in bucketfuls. Please, please consider this gorgeous boy who’s been overlooked for far too long. Rooney responds well to gentle training but needs an experienced home.

Thunder – 3 year old female Cross-Breed
Thunder is a lovely 3 year old Cross-Breed girl who is in urgent need of foster care or a forever home with experience of powerful dogs. She is dog and human friendly, but has no formal training. She has met my children and been curious but I would only consider a home with kids if you are a very experienced handler. She runs happily by a bicycle, is extremely bright and keen to learn and loves a Kong or chew toy.

She arrived at a shelter extremely underweight and this is the only angle of picture I can post of her, I know a lot of kids look at this site and her physical state would upset them. She is spayed, house trained/crate trained, has lived out and is great in the car. She really didn’t get a great start, please help us give her a chance at a better future.
*Update*
Thunder is doing well during her stay at kennels. She’s putting on weight and doing well with the other dogs.
She needs a rural location, with owners who are fond of country pursuits. She’s used to living out and going off to work every day. Apparently she’s happily sitting on people’s laps and enjoying her cuddles she met my kids during her brief stay here and was fine, more pics and info on request, but her condition is currently still slightly disturbing visually, the vet has given her a clean bill of health and she will make the right home a brilliant companion for many years to come.
She is in the London/Kent area and serious homes only can contact Anna on 07725 039 736 I will accept calls all weekend up til 9.30pm or leave a message.

Rover is a 3-4 year old cross-breed boy who has settled in well into his foster home, but is still looking for a forever home of his own. He ended up with us after he was taken into the pound in Swansea by a man, who claimed he had found him as a stray but the owner of the pound suspects that he was actually Rover’s owners.

He is quite a nervous dog who is suspicious of strangers and a bit stubborn, he’s very affectionate with nice, well behaved dogs and is very agile, and he obviously has the brains and the agility of a Collie. We are looking for a home for Rover with dog knowledge, someone who has the time and patience to show him the world and work with him to show him that not everything is as scary as he thinks. We won’t let him go to a home with small children as we think they will worry him, however he could go to a home with dog savvy teenagers.

Jay – 2 year old male Cross-Breed
Jay is a 2 year old cross breed. He is a steady and quiet dog who loves the company of people. He is steady and well behaved and clean in his kennel. Poor Jay is finding kennel life hard as he really wants to be in a home. He will make a very loyal and affectionate companion and he is looking for an adult only home and would prefer to be an only pet. We hope that 2010 will be a very Happy New Year for Jay who deserves to be in a loving home.
Hanson – 3 year old male Cross-Breed
Hanson is a medium-large Cross-Breed who is approx 3 years old. He is fun loving and affectionate and cant wait to find his forever home.

Here’s what his previous owner said about Hanson: “He is a lovely dog and likes adults particularly women. He was always by my side and let me know if anyone had come through the garden gate or to the door. He played happily will all the children that came. He loves to play frisbee or ball and to go for walks. He has been to training classes and will sit, lay and stay. He walks quite well now on a lead but is very obedient off the lead. He loves to play in and out of water. He will run along at the side of you when out cycling or walking quite happily. He prefers dog biscuits but will eat anything. He is more used to dog treats now but I don’t think he had ever tried anything like that before.”
He would be perfect for a couple or single person. An all adult house would be best for Hanson.

Luke is a 2 year old male Cross-Breed who is more suitable for adult couples or single adult owners. He loves lots of exercise and playing fetch. He would benefit from an experienced owner and a quiet adult-only home with not many visitors. He would need gradual, gentle introductions to strangers/visitors.

Ringo – 4 year old male Cross-Breed
Ringo was also found as a stray and he is what you might call a Heinz 57 cross-breed! He is around 4 years old and a strong boisterous boy who loves his walks and human company.
