Charlie – 4 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Whippet

Hello let me introduce myself. My name is Charlie and I’m a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Whippet. I am 4 years old and am fully vaccinated, I’m housetrained but I’m not neutered. Now let me tell you a bit about myself. I’m told by my girls at the centre that I’m a strikingly handsome boy, but I’m going to be honest with you, I’m not perfect. I came to the centre as a stray and I was extremely nervous of everyone and everything. I’ve lived at the sanctuary for nearly 2 years and during this time my girls have worked hard to over come this. I now walk happily with a number of the walkers and a few of the other dogs. It may take me a little while to feel happy to come to you straight away but you just need to give me time as I am a sensitive soul and need time to process things.

I’ve now starting to realize I’m obviously missing out on something as quite a few of my neighbours have now found their lovely families. I require a home that has no small people as they are still scary to me. I would love a home where I’m just an only child with no other 4 legged people. Thank you for taking the time to read about me and I look forward to perhaps meeting some of you in the near future. Notes from my girls: Charlie needs a home that’s experienced and willing to carry on with his socialisation and training.

We would really like to find Charlie his forever home as once he gets to know you he is such a lovely softy who enjoys cuddles and lots of fuss. The only thing we ask is that anyone that is interested in him is willing to visit him regularly at the sanctuary to build up a trusting bond with him before he comes to live with you.
