Charlie - 1 year old male Greyhound cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Charlie is a Greyhound cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier aged approximately 1 year old.  He arrived today from a lady who bought him as a Whippet cross, expecting to be buying a smaller breed dog. He just carried on growing and got too big. She also started a fulltime job and when she left him all of a sudden for 9 hours a day he started to chew through boredom and this became too much for her to cope with.

Charlie is a typical puppy. He loves to play ball, can be a bit jumpy (although this can be controlled with correct training) and sometimes forgets himself and mouths people a bit when he becomes over-excited. The people who bred him wanted him for a working dog, but he failed because he had no prey drive whatsoever. Hence he is good with other dogs, okay with cats (although he will chase them if they run he does them no harm) and - so far - has shown no interest in the smaller caged animals.

He has lived with children, although they would need to be confident kids as he is big and can jump up. I am looking for a home with older kids only - over 10 - as he may accidently knock toddlers over. Charlie is castrated and fully vaccinated (although I have to check this out with his previous vets) and will be microchipped before he leaves us.
