Hello, my name is Chester. I’m a four year old male Great Dane and Bull Mastiff crossbreed. I arrived at The Mayhew after being found abandoned on the streets. I’m a very friendly chap and I get along well with everyone I meet, I also love to snuggle in close for love and attention. Providing I get plenty of exercise, I’m a calm, well-behaved and obedient dog.
I’m now looking for a forever home with a person or family who are experienced dog owners and are willing to give me at least one hour of off lead exercise every day. I’d like to find a home in a rural, semi-rural or low dog populated area, as I can sometimes be a bit assertive with larger male dogs. I’m a strong chap so I’m looking for an equally strong owner. I can live with children from sixteen years of age and upwards but I’ll need to be the only pet in the home. It’s not yet known how long I cope being left alone for so I’m currently looking for a home where there is somebody around for most of the day.
If you are interested in adopting me you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog, you’ll be taking on a eleven year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.
I hope to see you soon,
