Cindy is a 2 year old female Yorkshire Terrier Cross. Pretty Cindy is a small lovable lapdog, she loves cuddles and people. She has a long black and tan silky coat. She weighs just 5.2 kilos and is just under 30 cm tall. Cindy is a very affectionate little girl who is lively, sociable, playful and a lapdog who loves attention. Great outdoors, great indoors, a perfect companion. Poor Cindy was initially adopted by a family in Lisbon, but after one year (due to a domestic abuse situation) the wife had to leave quickly and had nowhere for the dog. So Cindy came back at the shelter. Cindy needs training off leash as she gets excited and doesn’t always come back right away. It maybe that she always has to be on extendable lead whilst walking.
Fosterer’s report: Cindy is really good with people and other dogs she is lively and sociable with all. She has been with children and is very nice, although a bit reserved but we feel this is probably just from being a bit unsure. She’s an affectionate little dog who loves attention and is a real lapdog and at the moment has found a space on the bed to sleep at night. She can become a little stressed if there are too many other dogs around, (but we do currently have 17 dogs in the house!). She loves being outside and is very active and will chase everything, birds, cats, leaves etc.
Cindy is easy to walk, although needs some training if she is going to eventually be let off lead as she gets very excited and doesn’t always come back right away. She eats well and has never been sick. Overall she is an adorable little dog and a pleasure to have around. Cindy hasn’t been tested for cats and small children but we are confident she will love children of 10 years and above.
