Clifford is an adorable Labrador who is approximately 5 years old. He is a friendly and happy boy who loves to be in the company of people, he thoroughly enjoys his walks and he loves to play. He is in good health and he will shortly be neutered. Clifford was rescued from a council pound and as such we do not know his history. He has met with children in his foster home, with no issues and we would look to place him in either an adult only home, but children over 10 years of age would be considered. Clifford is currently living with a female Labrador and they get on really well, he can be reactive with some other males (usually entire ones), so if he did live with another dog, it would need to be a calm female, subject to successful introductions. Clifford’s foster family say that he walks very nicely on a lead and he is very well behaved and obedient around the house.
Clifford will be looking for a home where he will enjoy nice walks. He will be okay left alone for a few hours after a walk. He has been left for up to three hours without any issues. Due to him being reactive to some males he could not be placed in a home where he needed to go into day care or was dog walked in groups. To ensure stress free walks for all, he would be best walked in areas where other dogs can be avoided. He has not yet been cat tested.
We would look to place him into a home with people who would be prepared to commit to his ongoing training, to help with his reactivity to other males and we will arrange for people to meet with Clifford at the end of September.
