Coco is an 8 year old Chihuahua cross Jack Russell Terrier girl who is in an Oldies Club foster home in Lincoln while she waits for someone to offer her a permanent home. Coco is living happily with the Yorkshire Terrier. She sometimes barks at other dogs when out. Coco used to live with a cat and we were told that she was good with it. Coco has had no problems with her foster carer’s grandchildren (aged 6+), and she used to live with children, but she was very frightened of the baby. She should be OK to live with older, gentle children.
Coco really enjoys her walks and will go as often as you offer. She loves to sniff, is great on the lead and doesn’t pull. Her recall isn’t always great. She is having two 30-minute walks each day, but will happily go for longer on a trip to the park. Coco’s ideal home: She would love a fairly quiet home where she will get plenty of attention. She’s great with her foster carer’s dog, but she also loves cuddles and we think she would be fine as an only dog.
Coco is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has been wormed and flea treated. When she was spayed, the vet found a small lump on a mammary gland, which was removed. The lump turned out to be benign but the vet advised that this is an area to keep an eye on in the future just to be safe. She will need a dental in the next few months and Oldies Club will cover the cost of the dental.
