Conan is a petite little brindle and white Staffy boy aged around 6 years old, with good body condition. He is quite a small dinky boy. When he was in the kennels he said hello to all the other dogs through the bars when he was at the dog pound before being saved before Christmas! This little chap is a lovely, sweet, friendly, happy dog, he loves fuss and cuddles and is very dog friendly.
Conan is another little Christmas mite needing sanctuary. DogWatch UK stepped in at the last minute to save this little guy from death row and he is now in a foster home in Oldbury, West Midlands, near Birmingham.
He had a glowing report from the Dog Wardens and this is what they told us: He came in and said hello to all the other dogs through the bars, stuck his nose in, tail wagging and no aggression shown.
Because he was in a dogs home he could have been put to sleep after seven days. Conan was rescued from a travellers site but the rescuer couldn’t keep him. His rescuer says: He was wormed 3 weeks ago. He is good with dogs, but doesn’t like cats. He hasn’t met livestock or horses. He is good on lead, good off lead and his recall is good. He is house-trained and travels well in the car, he does not guard food or toys.
He walks well on the lead, but has a harness, he does choke a bit on the lead so would be better with the harness. He is a very happy, waggy, smiley boy, into everything!
He had a good nose all round the office, then jumped up into my lap and that’s where he was happiest, he just wants to give you a face wash and sit there like a lapdog, he has a huge staffy smile like a Cheshire cat.
We are looking for a home with another female dog or without other dogs at all. He would not like a home with young children as he isn’t used to them but older children of 13 upwards we would be happy with.
