Cookie – 1 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Cookie is an absolutely delightful brown and white female Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross. She was brought to Derby RSPCA Centre by an RSPCA Inspector. She is believed to be 1 year old and is a very, very friendly, loving and good-natured dog who wags her tail a lot. Cookie is never happier than when she’s mixing with people and being allowed to be part of whatever’s going on. She loves to be made a fuss of, enjoys playing (especially tug) and even adores being groomed because she sees it as an intensive stroking session.

She is very much a ‘people’ dog who thrives on the company of human beings and who doesn’t enjoy being left on her own, so it would be best for her to go to a new home where there is generally somebody around.

She would be suitable for a household where any children were aged 5+ and kind to animals. Cookie gets along fine with other dogs and doesn’t appear to be aggressive towards cats, just interested in them. Being very young, she only knows one or two commands at present, but she is a bright little dog who should readily respond to any training which her new owner might give her.

She is a lively little dog who would suit an active household where she would get lots of walks, play, fresh air and exercise to keep her fit and healthy. Her last owner didn’t take her for walks at all, so she is only now discovering the wonderful business of going for walks.

Cookie is an extremely lovable little character with a happy, gentle and sunshiny personality. She will bring masses of fun, love and life to her new home, wherever that may be. She is currently being fostered by RSPCA volunteers, but can be visited by anyone who might be interested in adopting her. Please contact Derby RSPCA Centre to arrange an appointment to meet her.
