Cracker – 11 month old male Border Collie

Cracker is an 11-month-old male Border Collie who is fine when greeting other dogs. We have no idea what he is like with cats. Cracker is totally house-trained and is fine when left on his own while you go shopping. He is learning to walk to heel on a lead but can pull when it suits him. Cracker has no recall so cannot be let off a lead at the moment.

Cracker does have a few mannerisms / issues of which we feel his new owners should be aware. He can be slightly unnerved by fast hands coming toward him but this is improving. He pulls the lead with his mouth when you get into a park (but again he is not doing this as much as he used to). He also has a habit of chasing shadows sometimes indoors. Although Cracker is good with his current owner’s young children, due to his issues, we will not be re-homing Cracker to a home with children, just to be on the safe side.

Cracker needs a home where they understand the Collie breed and can give him love, teach him manners and provide the mental and physical stimulation his breed needs. We would require his new owner to take Cracker to training / obedience classes. He is still a pup and despite his few problems, Cracker is adorable and perfect for someone we are sure.
