“Alright, Dave?” Yes, he certainly is! Meet this super little Jack Russell / Bichon cross – a little dog with a huge personality! He is around 3-months old now and is being fostered in East Molesey, Surrey. Dave is a clever puppy – very quick to learn. He is gentle when playing with people, is excellent when play fighting with humans – just as he does with his sibling, (he mouths but does not bite). Dave is a fluffy bundle of fun and energy, he loves a belly tickle, balls and tug toys. He runs around the garden with his sibling barking and play fighting – he loves to roll around under his foster mum’s flame bush. He is a digger and can often be caught standing in her planters digging out the flowers, and when told that he is naughty he gives an innocent look with dirt all over his paws and muzzle! He is a cheeky, funny little boy and once trained will make a wonderful family member.
Dave will need continuing training with all the usual puppy things. His is working on toilet training using puppy pads and lots of praise when he toilets outside. Dave is learning basic commands such as “no”, “naughty” and “down”. He has not started lead training yet as his course of vaccinations isn’t yet complete. He is currently living with his brother, George, but they will be separated soon. Dave is not at all aggressive and has no problems in the home. He has met children aged 2 ½ years and 6 years – loved them all! He loves everyone – especially if they play with him!
Dave is quite easy going – not at all dominant with food or toys. He can be a little car sick sometimes – but not always. He is fine at the vets – no problems at all. Dave is happy to be touched all over and doesn’t even mind having his nails clipped. He is not big enough to jump fencing yet but like all puppies – he needs to chew. He has been left for 2 hours in his crate with his brother. He cries for a while then settles. He hasn’t met any cats yet, but Dave is young enough to learn. He is fostered with 2 resident dogs, 1 long term foster and male sibling. He loves to play with his sibling and permanent foster dog.
Dave would suit any home that is prepared to continue to continue with training, but as he is so young he would be best suited to a busy family with children, Dave is not fazed by anything – he is a brave bubbly inquisitive little boy. His new owners would be expected to take him to puppy classes, continue his training and be at home for most of the day.
Dave is up to date with his flea and worming treatment, micro-chipped and has started his first course of vaccinations. He will need to be neutered at 6 months, which will the responsibility of the adopter (discount voucher will be provided). Prospective adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in Surrey.
