DeeDee – 2 year old female Border Collie

DeeDee is a 2 year old Border Collie has come into us for much needed help.  She was collected by the Dog Warden and was completely covered in diesel (was this accidental or was there a far more sinister/unthinkable reason for this) and has been in council pound for a while, we heard about her plight and offered to take her here. DeeDee is a very submissive type, who has obviously had alot of trauma in her short life.

She hasn’t been with us long, but we believe she has a very sweet nature, is bewildered at her life, but just needs to know people will love her and not hurt her from now on as you can see from the photo she has an eye injury. She was collected with other dogs who had various old injuries on them (who are also safe in their own breed rescues) – what sort of world are we living in!

DeeDee’s eye injury (checked by vet) is believed to have been from a possible trauma (kick maybe) some time ago! The vets report states ‘left eye is enopthalmus, permanent third eyelid prolapse and completely blue corenea, flu negative. The injury has settled and vet does not believe she is in pain, but we are considering having the eye removed to for long term cosmetic and health reasons (to save any future infection – which is a possibility). This is obviously a hugely expensive operation.

So, not only is DeeDee up for rehoming, but we also need funding to help with this possible operation. If you would like to help or would like more information please visit our website for more details: www.valgraysbcrescue.webs.com
