Deefa

Deefa (ref 47d) is an enormously friendly tan male Staffordshire Bull Terrier aged 7 years old. He was brought to Derby RSPCA Centre after his last owner had a baby and was no longer able to cope with owning a dog as well. He would be suitable to live in a non-rowdy home where any children were aged at least 7 years and very kind to animals.

Deefa finds loud noises frightening, so a home where people shout, fight or play loud music would make him a very unhappy dog indeed. He is a very loving and affectionate creature who really enjoys being with people. He already knows at least 4 commands and is a very obliging and obedient little dog.

He is house-trained, very big on tail-wagging - and once he is fully trained, he will be the perfect canine companion, a real little gentleman. Deefa loves to play with people and also with toys; he is especially fond of playing tug. He enjoys being stroked and groomed immensely, because interacting with people is what makes him happiest.

He will need (and adore) plenty of regular walks and outdoor fun, plus play sessions and lots of attention so that he knows he’s living with people who love him. Deefa would not be suitable to live with cats, as he wouldn’t be able to resist chasing them. He needs to be rehomed as the only dog in the household, because he doesn’t enjoy close-up contact with other dogs.

He is a very lovely dog indeed - and if you can offer him a calm and kindly home where he can bounce about and play to his heart’s content, you can count on his love and friendship for the rest of his life.
