Dennis – 2 year old male Lurcher

This gorgeous young man is Dennis who is a 2 year old male Lurcher. He was found wandering in the snow in early January by a kind lady who took him home. Dennis went to vets and was suffering from a bad case of demodectic mange (this is non contagious with other dogs or humans).

He weighed just under 25kg, he should be around 31-32kg. The vet said that if he hadn’t been found he would have certainly have died due to temperatures significantly below freezing and his condition.

Although Dennis was starving hungry, weak from cold and suffering from sore and bleeding skin he is so loving and gentle! Wagging his tail and licking your face! His foster mum cried when she saw him and he went over to her and layed his head on her knee as if to say “I’m ok, please don’t be sad”.

These photos and video were taken when Dennis was found and we are pleased to report he is well on the mend now and we can now offer him for rehoming. We know he is fine with other dogs and older children but have no other history on him.
