Dilly is a 2-3 year old female Shih Tzu. Dilly came into us as an ex breeding bitch. She will only be rehomed with another calm, neutered resident dog to help with building her confidence in the home. Dilly is fine with adults and we’re pretty sure she would be fine with children although she hasn’t much experience with them. She is a happy sociable little girl who loves attention and being cuddled. She greets you in the morning like she hasn’t seen you in years even though she’s slept against you in the bed all night. Dilly is fine with the other dogs in her foster home although she would benefit from further socialisation. She must be rehomed with another dog for her to continue to learn from. She gets a little possessive over her human although she’s willing to share her food and toys with them. It isn’t known how Dilly would react to a cat.
Dilly is housetrained. She is a dear little dog whose favourite place is on someone’s lap having cuddles. When she’s not there she likes to sleep on her back in her basket. She has been known to have a little chew of something she shouldn’t when left alone. She isn’t used to the vacuum, music or television noise so she does bark at them occasionally. Dilly enjoys travelling in the car and loves to look out of the front window. She does walk on a lead but this needs further training with another dog for guidance and companionship to give her confidence and teach her how enjoyable and exciting the outside world can be.
Dilly would love a home where she is the centre of attention. She is a really cute little girl whose personality will only improve as she gets more comfortable and relaxed in her home surroundings. She will need patient loving new owners and a canine companion. Dilly is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in RCT, South Wales.
If you are interested in adopting Dilly please read about our rehoming process and complete a Pre-Adoption form ( link here ) and one of our adoption coordinators will contact you for a chat.
