Dino – 18 month old male German Shepherd Dog

Dino is a young, about 18 months old, stunning male German Shepherd boy, sadly underweight at the moment but very friendly and greatful for the care he is now getting. He is great with children but doesn’t like cats. He has not been tested with other dogs yet.

He really is a lovely dog who hasn’t had the best start to life. He seems house trained, knows a few commands like ‘sit’ and ‘paw’ and is quiet in the house. He’s great with the kids but is only young so can get excited easily so might be best with older children? He loves going in the car and doesn’t pull much on the lead when its just you and him, although he has no road sense at all and will zig zag across the pavement!! A little bit of training will put this right! His only bad points are he doesn’t like cats, gerbils or other dogs. He actually went for one this morning. He is incredibly strong so at the moment we have to take great care when taking him to a field with other dogs, but considering his age and experiences so far this might get better in time. Its such a shame he is like this and it really is his only downfall. He is so soft and well behaved with us and our visitors and his tail is constantly wagging! He will also need a garden with a very high fence as he’s a great escapologist who can jump very high! He is a great dog with so much potential, he just needs an experienced home with lots of patience to give him the training he needs and he will make a great family pet!
