Dory – 5 year old female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Dory is a 5-year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She is an ex-puppy farm girl with the sweetest temperament even for a Cavalier. She is no fuss at all and enjoys living with other dogs and all humans. She loves nothing better than being close to her human but any warm body will do. She is always there or there about flitting in and out of your eyeline and suddenly appearing sat next to you with her head on your lap. She is recovering from a minor operation with her signature lack of fuss. A gentle soul.

Dory adores people but she is not one for jumping up or barking. She is quieter than that. She prefers to view from afar then move in for the cuddle. Noisy children will probably frighten her but she doesn’t have a nasty body in her body. Dory interacts well with all dogs. She is consistent and predictable and will cuddle up to any sleeping pooch. She is showing signs of wanting to play with the other dogs which is a huge leap forward for her. Dory seems indifferent to cats.

Dory is housetrained and is happy to be left for short periods. She has her favourite spots around the house, a chair here, a bed there but she just loves the fact that she is safe, warm and loved. At night she sleeps between her fosters pillows, always just touching and snoring like a pot bellied pig. Walking is new to Dory and she is starting to enjoy the experience. She doesn’t travel particularly well and is prone to car sickness.

Dory needs and deserves a loving home where she will be loved, cared for and safe. She will reward patience with devotion and the pleasure of seeing her come out of her shell and develop her personality after a shocking start to life.

Dory is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Rhondda, South Wales
