This little beauty is called Dottie for a reason! She’s only quite small as you can see by the photos. She is a very pretty, with a short tan silky coat, she is a loving and affectionate girl who loves all the volunteers and people that come to the Spanish refuge, always ready for a fuss and cuddle. She gets on well with the other dogs, but can be a little dominant at times over her food but then this happens a lot with rescue dogs as obviously in the past she has had to survive and take what food she could when she could. Dottie will make a lovely family pet. Dottie is a sweet little dog who was given over to the Spanish rescue GPAR with two other dogs to help to find them a home. She and 2 other dogs had spent most of their lives tied up on a small patio, outside in all weathers.
The Spanish rescue had been aware of them for some time and had tried several times to get the owner to give them over. It was obvious he didn’t want them and they had no life or love from him. Fortunately just before Christmas he decided to give them a chance and let them be taken into the refuge. They are now all together in the Spanish rescues care and they have a lot more freedom and already a lot more love!
We do not know what Dottie is like with cats but they can test her if required. Current location is in Spain can travel to the UK once she has a home to go to. Vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, Spayed, Microchipped, Pet Passport, FREE 4 weeks Pet Insurance, Any known health issues NONE KNOWN.
For Dogs coming from Spain and Portugal: This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering, parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from Spain or Portugal to people who work, even part time. They need someone at home all day, they are not used to being alone, so even a couple of hours broken with a dog walker will be too much for them to cope with. They are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
Adoption Fee : £ 275 – to be paid direct to the Spanish/Portuguese rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account
