Dozer is a 3 year old chocolate colour, Patterdale Terrier, currently in foster in Isle of Wight. He is a young boy and he loves nothing more than a big old fuss and a long walk with a ball! He can be possessive over objects and people so needs a firm owner who has previous experience with dogs. It was nipped in the bud the second he arrived with his foster mum and there haven’t been any possession issues since. He also has food aggression with other dogs. This is being helped by feeding him apart from the other dogs and he is slowly getting a lot better with this.
He now shares treats with the other dogs but just not his main dinner. He doesn’t get along with terriers at all due to a previous home, and so it is best he is muzzled at all times during walks. Once he knows a dog, he is very playful and loving with them. He gets on very well with his foster mum’s dogs now. He would suit being a only dog or with an older dog to put him in his place as he thinks he is the boss.
He is a very bouncy dog and is currently living with children with the youngest being 2 years. He does knock her over a lot, in his playfulness. So his foster mum says he needs to be in a home with children over 10 years. She also says that Dozer has the potential to be a brilliant dog with the right family to love and guide him. He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
