Duke- 15 month old male German Shepherd Dog
Duke is a Kennel Club Registered pedigree German Shepherd who is 15 months old. This is a stunning example of the breed with superb conformation and movement, very intelligent, loyal and affectionate, and superbly behaved in the house. Poor Duke has had a past full of physical mistreatment and mental torment resulting in him being initially concerned when he meets new people in his house so he just needs to be ignored when you enter the house and he will come to you for a cuddle after about 10 minutes. He has been so badly abused his tail had to be removed as it was broken, but it is fully healed and he copes well without it.
Duke is very well behaved out on a lead and has good recall off lead, he is a good mannered dog who is responding and improving well in the foster home where he gets consistent, fair handling and a lot of nice interesting walks. He loves his chews and will happily lie for hours in front of the fire no trouble at all. We are looking for mature adult owners who are used to large dogs and can demonstrate they are able to handle and train big dogs. Duke must be housed indoors as a family pet without children.
